Should I use 600w or 1000w?

With a single light-source regardless of wattage there will be weaker areas and constant shadows....the light-rail eliminates both. I can also run my sealed lights 6" above my plants....this helps the lower branches as they get more lums and direct lights.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to talk anyone into a light-rail....they don't work in tents, venting is tricky as is stringing the power cords.

But I can tell you they work for me. I've had up to 11 plants under mine....packed into a 5x7 room....and they all grew amazing. Any of the links below will show the results of such lighting.

My setup is flood and drain, so I guess I could just make different level/adjustable stands for the tables.

I flower 6 plants with a 600 hps finish height is 5 feet tall. how tall a re your plants in veg ? I could easily do 10 plants with a 6 to 10 inch veg. with a 600. I personally moved away from the 1000 waters because of the insane amount of heat total challenge to keep cool if you do more then 2. or 4 then you need a good ac.

Yeah, 3 1000w would produce quite a bit of heat. What I would need is stands that are both height-adjustable and mobile. Do you know what it would take to make height-adjustable PVC stands?

I have hangers, and I unerstand how to make the PVC part to hang the lights, but I'm asking about an adjustable PVC stand that holds my flood tray, so I can make my flood tray taller or shorter. That way I could have some flood trays taller than others, so the canopy could be more even.

Bro im telling you man just go with 3 600s , or do whatever your going to do with your lighting and as for the canopy , do some training topping and Lst(tie down), to control canopy , you dont need a an adjustable table if your training your plants, plus by training them your making more tops, more yield. shrubs is for indoors, trees are for outdoor i say

The canopy will already be even, as I will be using clones. I'm saying if I was to use a light mover, I would need adjustable tables for the 3 different stages of flowering. One stage will just be coming in as one stage is leaving, so they'll be different heights. If I didn't use a light mover, and just used 3 lights, I could just adjust the light instead of the tables.
