should I use nutes in my aero cloner?

Hey guys, setting up my spiffy (albeit tiny) 6 site aero cloner. I've had the shittiest luck with clones, and I'm really wanting to take some clones bc I've missed out on 2 keepers already. Hopefully this cloner gets the job done, if so I'm gonna make another.

So I read in a grow book to put peroxide (for the O²) and bloom nutes in the water when you are doing clones. Any other tips?

Also I'm using hormex... Hopefully it works. I've heard great things about it but was really wanting to go with the clonex bc its a gel. Anyways, if you have any tips for me lemme know.

And I should give them 24 hours of light, correct? Thanks a bunch guys.

First off, don't ever put nutes in your clone bucket, especially flowering nutes. I've had a few friends who would throw some potassium supplements in but never saw a difference in rooting time or strength.

stick to the hormex or clonex as these are specially formulated with rooting hormones and will get your clone rooted.
shit, I used to use just water and got 100% rates.

And that one thing we can't forget, Patience. It makes all the difference.

Noooooo, don't do iitttttt. Aero cloners are retarded.

Those little cuts just need some good ph balanced water, and some rapid rooters. Don't overthink it. Cloning should be effortless for everybody. It doesn't take fancy nutes, root stims, or even a form of hydro.

What problems were you having before?

Heres my advice, fill that bitch up with peroxide and and bloom nutes. Then you can post another thread telling us how some book wrecked your harvest. You have shitty luck with clones because your just not good at growing. Sorry dude, maybe kniting is more your style :?

Woah man.

It depends on your setup but I use tap water only. Here is a link to the cloner I built last week and the clones I took that evening ( 12/13 ) https://www.rollitup.org/do-yourself/761544-easy-dyi-aero-cloning.html#post9940886 I will take some pictures of the roots that have formed in the 8 days and post them later this afternoon, most of them will be ready for transplant tomorrow. Happy Growing and have patience with yourself and with us, Larry :weed:

PS There are several examples of home made cloners/cloning in the thread I linked above, you should be able to either find something that meets your needs or adapt one or more of the ideas to fit your situation.

I mean seriously, theres threads on this shit already, read em. Wiping asses is for new members, if this guy still needs his hand held then maybe its about time he quit growing b-meat quality budz ;)

I made a basic cloner with a dollar store storage container and 2" Neoprene collars and net pots. An air pump w/ tubing, a 6" air stone and clonex.
I cut the bottoms off the net pots so the roots don't get tangled.

1) paint the bottom of the storage container (if necessary)
2) I cut 6 1_3/4" holes in the top of the storage container (Depending on size and amount of clones you want)
3) Drill a small hole at the top side of the container for the air line.(above water line obviously)
4) Cut the netting off of the netpots leaving the solid collar, Make sure they fix snug.
5) Run airline through hole drilled in side and connect air stone.
6) Fill with water (PH if you want) I don't ph first week. Plug in air pump.

I DO EACH CLONE INDIVIDUALLY. and as quickly and carefully as possible.

1) Take a cutting.(Cut on a 45 deg angle)
2) carefully shave 1/2" to 1" of "skin" off bottom of cutting.
3) Dip into Clonex
4) Slip into 2" Collar and into netpot (Make sure shaved part is below the collar)
5) Place in cloner. So people Trim the existing fan leaves in half.
Mix a few drops of clonex to the res water.

I HAVE NEVER NOT HAD A CUTTING TAKE ROOT USING THIS METHOD.
WITHIN A WEEK TO 10 DAYS you should have a few roots popping from the cuttings.

Well that may be true, he may just be retarded.

Nonetheless, elitist comments aren't helping you, or him.

I love you
actually they help us both....in my case the elitist comments discredit his input on future threads, saving me the time of pointing him out as the hack that he is. And in his case, this response should encourage a response somewhere along the lines of fight or flight causing him to try and grow better plants than me. Hopefully this doesnt lead him to fill his tiny aero cloner with straight peroxide and nutrients in order to one up me.

Fun talk.

Ka-Ka!!! :):):)

Wow I bet this guy taught him self to walk and wipe his own ass. Btw, it's not luck, it's called technique. Technique is developed through trial and error. No one needs negativity, all in all it gets us nowhere.

This sounds like a great set up....wheres the part about adding all the peroxide and flowering fertilizer to the rez?

rofl, he calls it luck as he's never had a clone root. I guess I just get lucky every month seeing as I have a 100 percent clone rate every time. You obviously misunderstood my point, through trial and error (as with everything else in life) you gain a Hands on perspective. I think you're 10 and 12 oz plants are quite an accomplishment for your first grow but there's no need to put someone down because they need a little more help than others...

Have you met b-meat? Spare me the lecture pops, i tell it like it is. Gonadson cant keep a plant alive and healthy to save his life. It sucks but its true. Like i said, kniting. You wanna wipe his ass for the next 8 months hes a member go ahead, be my guest.

We all share a common love for growing and getting high. Why someone more experienced wouldn't wanna help out someone less experienced in that shared, loved hobby, I'll never know. But then why post the discouraging remarks? Your just a prick. Plain and simple.

Keep proving yourself to yourself.

ive tried helping gonadson in the past but theres a smiley invented for the guy, this one >>>>>:wall::wall::wall: And simply and plainly your right. I am a prick. I make no attempt to hide the fact that i am an asshole occasionally. Im a nice guy most of the time but fuck man, the aero cloner comes with instructions, theres threads everywhere telling how to use the damn thing and this genius wants to reinvent the damn thing by adding a bunch of crap that doesnt go in there. Its like all the tests he did on his plants that killed them before. But by all means, if you think that running weird expirements on plants before youve ever done it the correct way even once is a good idea then friend request gonadson and join forces with him. Together you two can grow super dank dank with finspammy.
