well what do you guys think about takin one of my runt outdoor plants and movin to my lil bubbler i made, the plant is 2 months old and only 7 or so inchs tall ( it got stunted horriblly) but other than that its healthy, no stretch, lush leaves, and new growth showin and bushy as hell....what do i need to do to get it ready for the net pot? what kinda adverse affects would coming from out side to inside have? i kinda wanna jus toss it into 12/12 can i do this?..... also this will be my first try indoors so any tips would be great?

you can totally do it, you will more than likely have to transplant ur plant into a bigger pot, but depending on the area ur in, the light cycle (day and nite) as soon as u put them outside, they will start to flower, or just to make sure, cover them for 24hrs somehow, or put into dark, and then start 12/12, this will induce flowering for the plant. but the plants gonna triple in size. keep that in mind, it'll stretch .

lol its a plant man, when u transplant it, it'll be a little shocked and droopy, u can shake some of the dirt off, but leave enough of it when u transplant so it doesnt flip out. and just add more dirt after u put it in the pot

i guess what i was meaning was what do i need to do to take a plant from an outdoor pot into a net pot with lava rocks... or would i be better of jus putting a foam plug to hold it up..

I voted "WTF NOOOO!" but it sounds like you're determined to risk killing a healthy plant.

The only advice I can give is cut 30% of the vegetative growth back once you're finished destroying the roots

yea i dunno man, goin to have to wash the roots off but the thing is the plant isnt used to all that water so youll prolly drown the poor little lady. add some hydrogen peroxide to ur nute mix in ur bubbler, lol not rilly sure wut else. u could do.

lol yeah i think i finnally made a decision im gonna wait till flowering time and take a few clones to try it out that way i dont lose the lil lady and ill get to see if it works a good comprise rite:hump::hump: bein ive never grown inside or in a bubbler

Hey, I read on another forum where they brought a plant in that was outdoors in a pot and put it right into a bubble bucket. They rinsed the roots carefully and used two drops root hormone to a quart of ph'd water poured over the hydro corals once it was nestled in. Layered the roots, first some corals then the lower roots spread out then more corals and spread the rest then cover with corals. Then place the net pot into the bucket. It drooped for about three days then perked right up. Make sure you get all the soil out of the roots so it won't plug your air stone or lines. Hope that helps.

Otside to inside = no prob except for mites and other bugs. Taking inside to outside is another story if not cared for and beaten up a little. by beating up I mean to have air blowing on it and misting the plant every now and then to simulate the outdoors. There is more on this somewhere.

I did this before. I just loosened the soil and made a tub of water and washed the roots off in the tub and transplanted it into a dwc bucket. It went into shock for about a week or so then the plant just exploded with new growth and actually produced some pretty decent bud. go for it let us know how it turns out.

well lol were gettin a new roof so my ladys are comin in for a lil bit and i think their gonna stay in for the remanider and im gonna wait til i can get a good clone root it in soil then move it to the bubbler ..i want to try it but i dont wanna lose the lady i kno she has tons of roots cus she root bounded in a 1.5 gallon not to long ago ,,, but i was thinking if i skipped the net pot and used a foam plug in the lid i wouldnt have to try sticking the roots off in the net pot ... but ill def try it when i get the clones goin ya kno if i lose this one thats 3 months down the drain when i can wait another month and have some to play with

Yo Kho,

I hope I'm not too late but I voted NOOO!!!! Although I am sure it can be done, there are too many variables that can totally kill your lady. First of all, having soil in your DWC is just asking for trouble. Harmful bacteria and shit present in your existing soil can screw your baby big time. Secondly, I guarantee the you will butcher the root system just trying to remove the soil - no matter how gentle you are. You mentioned that she went through a rough period of stunting and is now bouncing back. Why mess with a good thing? I know you are trying to do what you feel is best for her, but this is not the way. If you don't mind my asking, what is causing you to feel the need to switch her to hydro? Perhaps the good folks here can help you find a better solution. I'll most certainly try. Peace and happy growing!

lol see the story is i got pretty blazed then was fuckin around in the garage and was like i wanna build something so lol i ended up with a working bubbler but for now the ladys are safe i dont wanna kill one over science (redneck science) lol maybe in a few weeks ill clone somethin or order some seeds or somethin and ill play with that instead of this one she looks too happy now
