Should it be tall or should it be short?

I am growing Cheese right now and it is very tall! i have topped it and topped it but now it is flowering i cant top no more. Does any one think it is better to flower them earlier than 6 weeks old so they grow shorter and more dense? do you get less bud off a smaller plant or should they grow as natural as possible? i have seen some plants that are 1m tall and fully budded, but mine are 1 and a half m and have only been flowering for a week. Do you get more bud off of a bigger plant or should shorter be the way to go next? got some Pics............

seems you;re asking questions for your next grow not this one, so a few thoughts and suggestions on that>

if your space is not height limited then topping is probably the only thing you want to do and i woudn;t change anything you've done.

if your space is limited you can try even more aggressive techniques to slow down the growth of the main cola. my solution, which many on this site do not support, is to cut every other fan leaf in stairstep pattern off the main stem only. this along with topping lets all of the lower nodes catch up to the main cola.

the simplest solution is to only let the plant veg until it is 1/3 to 1/2 the final height you want and then flower. you will get less bud from this approach.

Thanks desertrat. I am kinda asking for my next grow but my plants are getting well high now and might reach the light which is about 2 m high. should i bend the branches down when they get too high? is there any other way?

when u top them, they will grow side ways / bushier. but that doesnt stop those arms from growing up towards the light, so by topping it u have made it alot more hectic in there and all those branches are growing towards the light.

does that make sense, im kinda baked

that seems to be what most people do but make sure you're bending not breaking the branch.

Yeah does make sense. Maybe i shouldn't of topped soo much but they were growing soo tall! maybe it is just the strain. do you know if dwarf strains are any good? i have researched few on picknmix seeds and look really nice. do you know if you get a lot of bud from them? the site said wonder woman can give up to half a key per square m! sounds like a lie to me?

I would gently bend and tie the colas. I drill a few holes at the top of the container and gently bend the stalks and tie them to the top of the container. Here is a picture of when I first start bending them. Yours are larger but the process is essentially the same.

that sounds unlikely, i dont think u should switch to growing dwarfs. u have more than enough space maybe cheese just likes to get real tall! check the height stated when u buy seeds.
