so im having a problem with a ? thats pondering me , an that is do or should you top plants an at what stage of growth should you if this applys to my growing style

ive read of ppl doing it in the AG. i beleive they said after the 4th node. but im not an expert so dont do anything until someone confirms this. i plan on topping my plants too, cause im limmitted on height.

Very simple easy instructional. LOVE IT.

Should not matter what system your using, but some plants respond better to the stress of topping more or less than others. Height issues, you have to do what you gotta do.

If you plan on cloning, if you take your clone from those spots, you will,
A: get a clone and
B: Top your plant

F U % K Y E S ! and cut it low, especially bagseed. Dont want to mutilate your unit in case you wanna sell it (get ever penny you spent $$$ back) and move on up to HPS. That seems to be the best way, look around, they got the best results...looking, healthy, controled.

The way it branches, and how the AG makes its so nice and stubby....it can have very many nodes. Look up supercropping, that is a really cool thread. VERY INTERESTING U WILL FIND< YES

I would never cut the tops when you can just tie them over... Cutting them takes time out of vedge to repair, where LSt is going to give you the same effetc, except better because the plant wastes no time to repair itself. just tie your top down to deired height and watch as your side branches grow up to form an even canopy... you have full on control of canopy height with lst manipulation..... those 2 main colas or 4 main colas you speak about are a half the size, or a quarter of the size of the ones that grow without being topped.... But if you want a bunch of littler buds..... Knock yourself out.... cut those plants and wait for them to start growing again in a week or two

i use aerogarden pro200 and i top 2 3 sometime 4 times per plant i think u yeild more

yes you yield more but the quality is not the same. you gota let nature take its course and see wat happs. if you have space issues top. but if not dont top

lst & aero don't really go well together for me...
LST works great no doubt. A very good friend of mine is a very successful LST grower.
just not with aero.... DWC yes, aero I don't see it being convienent.

TOP TOP TOP and leave a few untopped for comparison... some strains do better untopped (Serious Seeds' Chronic, for example).
But definately top a majority of them (as long as you are still in 18/6 or 24/0) at the 4th node - when you see the 5th node chop that bit off and viola!

I prefer to FIM rather than Top but if you are going to Top then uncle bens technique is the one to go with.
