Show me your motherplant setup

I'm thinking of setting up a small motherplant tent as I'm starting to get a nice collection of strains and don't like growing them all at once. Ideally I'd like to have something about the size of a medium fishtank I can have on my shelf or tucked somewhere away in my grow area. I'd also like to run it as low wattage as possible and keep the mothers pretty small bonsai size.

How often do you water the mother's and what EC etc ? Do yo run a fan in there as well?

I have to feed them daily, the ec varies depending on the temperature/season and what light im using, generally i eye it but a rough guide would be 1.0/1.4ec.

I've a 4" bathroom fan with a plug in dimmer to keep things right, or as right as i can make it given the season.

If feeding daily is a problem there's a few things you can do.
The top picture is for convenience, i just pour in x amount nutrient into the tray and the coco sucks it up, what's left gets drained away with the stips of capillary matt, you can just see them at the bottom of the pic, it then drops into a saucer for me empty later.

These LED bars work well. I was a T5 loyalist until I tried them. I use 6 on the top shelf for my clones and 3 on the next shelf for my bonsai mothers.

This is my setup. I once had a ton of mothers, but they've slimmed down to one shelf. This picture is pretty old, but it shows the whole rack.

It gets thick in there.

Some of them are over a year old now. I went on a heavy pheno hunt for around a year and took multiple phenos of each of the many strains. I've been rerunning them for the past couple of cycles and keeping the best.

I found that rack on ebay. It's 2x4', which are typically really expensive, but this one wasn't too bad. I'm probably going to replace the dutch leach trays with 2x4 flood trays and automate the feedings once the hunt is completely done.

Oh damn. This one is only $93 for anyone interested.

I’ve been bonsai-ing my mothers ever since I seen yours but mine always end up getting tall, I don’t know how you keep them so short @lusidghost

I had to go actual bonsai with this one to rebalance it. I was thinking about cloning it as a replacement and then putting the original in my living room under its own light. I'll make its base look nice and work the plant every day.

I think keeping them in 4" rockwool cubes helps. I just take small cuts and top them as soon as possible. Then I prune them about once a week, chopping everything back to the lowest node.

Yeah true I got mine in two gallon pots. I hand water though so I don’t wanna be down there everyday
