Shower grow room

Asking for opinions around here is like taking your dick out in a whore house....you'll get plenty of attention.

I've got a 600w MH bulb in a reflective hood and a 600 HPS for flowering (if I ever get there.) I figured I was all set until I saw hot friggin' hot the MH bulb got.

Now I see all this stuff about cool tubes and inline fans. I mean WTF ? !

Attached is a photo of an unused shower in an isolated part of my house. I'd planned to use it as a growing space when and if my goddam plants stop looking like banzai marijuana trees.

As you can see, there's an exhaust fan right above the shower door. If I put a fan inside the shower, directed upwards, and run the ceiling fan do you think that will suffice to remove excess heat ?

The room in which the shower is located is a more or less standard sized bathroom.

OK. Lemme have it !shower.jpg

Ever thought about running LED?

and yea heat always moves up so that fan on the bottom might be over kill. Might me a better idea to put the fan in a window pulling fresh air in. if that makes sense.

Yeah, I thought about LED but I already bought the HID stuff. There's no window in the room.

Can't you return the MH and HID? I seriously would consider replacing that with a good LED light panel. Way less power consumption and heat. If not, the heat from the 400/600w has to go somewhere. Best solution would be to install inline fans for intake and exhaust. Definitely do a dry run like was mentioned earlier. You might be able to get a big oscillating fan to help move air. The heat still has go somewhere or it won't make much difference. Summer is coming up too so that's another thing to consider when thinking about heat.

Are you putting any reflective material in the room? I would recommend poly/panda film. It helps with heat.

Yes, this should work. If needed, duct the exhaust fan down a couple feet. Meaning, leave the fan where it is and attach a piece of loose ducting down towards the bulb.

I'm committed to the MH and HID at this point. I'll fan the hell out of them.
