Woke up and check the ladies, theres a small powdery mildew issue, sprayed with a mix of 1 part milk, 9 parts water, and 2 mL of Einsteins Neem Oil, hopefully that does the trick! The buds are growing and growing, Tomorrow will be a really heavy feeding for them.. and then they will once again blast off

Powdery Mildew is under control, havent seen any today after the
foliar spray last night... I'll just have to stay on top of it, I am going
to pick up Ed Rosenthol's Zero Tolerance Herbacidal Fungacide, that will
keep it completely subdued.... I have also lowered the overal humidity
and have my night time temp's better under control, which was my
main issue....

I just mixed up a nice fertilizer solution and will be applying it as
soon as the reservoir temperature is exactly where I want it.

Week 4 Feed:
10 Gallons Chlorine/Sediment Filtered Water
70 mL Master A
70 mL Master B
30 mL Cal-Mag Plus
30 mL Ginormous
50 mL Hum-Bolt
50 mL Flavor-Ful
20 mL Humboldt Honey ES
70 mL Hygrozyme
30 mL Humboldt Roots
30 mL Budswel
PPM 1350, pH 6.3, Temp 72°F, EC 1.89

Appreciate it dude, yea I flipped them after a week of Veg, more plants, less veg=
same weight less time... and ya, this Big Bud is hard to miss, these fat stubby
leaves.... And the HUGE buds they put out at the end are unmistakeable...

Middle of January, I'll be watchin you, you keep an eye on me :joint:

like that garden shot, very nice! started a new journal today man, got rid of the eight male clones i had! i got eight oaksterdam clones now, they were revegged clones, so i can see the white hair/bud spots. six of them are already potted now, and new growth, check it out when you get a chance. i'll keep in mind that herbal fungacide if i ever get that problem, thanks!

hope everything stays 100%, i'll be watchin... Let me know if you got any Q's...
And definitely have some fun with Ed Rose's... It is such a great foliar spray

No doubt, next time I'm gonna mix in more perlite and Hydrocorals,
unless this yeild is crazy... I'm pretty much growing on a lunar cycle
right now, it takes like 5-6 days for my media to dry out, which is ok
I guess, my ppm's just jump more from one feeding to the next, although
i'd like it to be more gradual I think, less chance of nutrient burns..

sounds like you're fine tuning your growing. keeps it exciting! don't know if i'll ever grow hydro, but i'll defn model mine after your's!

Hydro is a beautiful thing, I look at it like this, people use soil, many people use Fox
Farm so we'll use that as an example, they place their plants in the Fox Farm, and
then only have to water for the first 3-4 weeks because the plant is using the
nutes in the soil, after which they notice deficiency's and have to start feeding
the plant because it has used all the nutes in the soil... At this point your soil is
only a media, why not use a media with more air? Roots love air, coco holds
around 1000 times more air than soil, and can hold the beneficial microorganisms,
enzymes, mycorrhizae and trichoderma that soils will hold... So I'm essentially in
a mixture which carries the beneficial characteristics of soil, with the added ability
to control it like hydro. I just don't see the advantage of soil anymore, and I used
to grow strictly soil.

great post, i switched to sunshine mix 4 on this grow. It is a soiless mix, is it similar to what ur doing? i love it b/c i control the nutes, and it's cheaper than FFOF. im still a nube, and i know you know more about this stuff. great info though!

You are very close... although I can't support the use of the Sphagnum Peat Moss,
because of the environmental damage done durring the acquiring... The digging
in to bogs and marshes that goes in to extracting peat moss is horrible for the
enviro... but yea it's a healthy soiless mix, and soiless is technically hydro :-P

Mixing up a batch of ferts today, well, its my mid feeding flush,

Ferts as follows
10Gallons Sediment/Chlorine filtered water
80 mL Hygrozyme
50 mL Humboldt Honey ES
30 mL Hum-Bolt
30 mL Flavor-Ful
90 mL Bat Guano from Budswel
300ppm, pH 6.3, Temp 72˚F, EC .42

Basically everything in the batch is used to help break down salts and nutes
that are still in the media, I am not adding any salts or nutes in these flushes..

damn dude, didn't know that! i was just trying to save a buck! i guess i could go back to FFOF, next time. it's hydro even though i just water it like with the FFOF, im confused! but yeah, thanks for the continued knowledge!

No don't use FFOF, its nasty stuff, they are able to claim organic because of most
of their ingredients such as the bat guano and worm castings but there are
EDTA/EGTA Chelates. If you want to run a good soil, check out Roots Organics
Formula 707. That stuff is out of this world, and costs less than FFOF if i'm not
mistaken, either that or you can keep doin soilless and run Roots Organics Soilless
Coco mix, I use that it my mix, its amazing, basically Coco, Pumice, Worm Casting,
Bat Guano, and Leonordite (humic acids)...

And yes it's hydro because you're not relying on organic
decayed matter to provide nutrients to your plant, you
are relying on water to do the work, Hydroponic literally
means "Water Labor."

sorry man, this is confusing to me, an i know you know ur shit. I thought hydro was when ur plants sit in water at all times, but i guess that's a specific kind of hydro. all i know is all the people i know who grow told me to use ffof when i started. after finding the sunshine mix 4, the hydro shop owner told me it's the same as FF but i add the nutes. so in ur grow do you water a plant like it's in soil, only when its thirsty? what are the differences between ur grow, and someone doing a soil medium? thanks for the spot on knowledge though, really helps clear things up.
