they diddnt have state-of-the-art hydro systems in the 70s.
and it wasnt untill the late 70's they even had hps lights....... even though indoor cultivation didnt become popular till the 80's the time i was born

and in those past 20 some years we have learned vital information about high octane marijuana cultivation that before this wasnt known

Ahh, facts.....they are so inconvenient and hard to come by. However you young whippersnappers, the innerwebs have this new tool called google. So I found the site of the European Monitoring Centre for Drugs and Drug Addictionand they had an article on just such a topic.

They said a number of interesting things

1. it's almost impossible to measure THC accurately.
2. %THC is just one component of potency
3. The everyday dope you buy from a dealer hasn't varied at all over the years.
4. Some indoor strains are indeed more potent, but it depends on a lot of things...like the skill of the grower, genetics, lighting etc.
5. THC fades rapidly with age.
6. Different labs will measure the exact same sample and come up with completely different results.

Regarding "state of the art hydro systems" perhaps not, although I seem to think we did. Regardless, we did have this thing called "soil" and it worked out pretty well. It still does.

about hydroponics, Here is the facts from Wikianswers: "The "Hydroponics" concept was re-discovered in 1930, at the University of Berkeley in California by Dr. Gericke but in reality this growing method has existed since the earliest of times.

You mentioned "better memories"; the pot back then was so powerful that many people lost most of their day to day memories; I was one of them. I see nobody has challenged my logic for it's merit. If you have not experienced it, you can not say with any degree of credibility that today's is better - especially when EVERY person who has smoked both says it was better back then. Contrary to your erroneous ideas about getting old, it seems like only yesterday and the memories of some of that are very vivid. It's not like we are half dead; my brain is in better shape now than when I was 30.

For'real im sure they had it.. BUT it was no where near perfected. Digital PH meters? all the Technical Info that HADNT been researched yet?

uhh junior, there were a lot of people growing hydro in the 1970s. All good shit did not just happen on your watch.

Please....feel free to continue spouting off about shit you have no experience with. I'm gonna go get stoned, just like the old days.

Im just saying Hydro during the 70s cant compare to the Hydro nowdays.

who cares? what's hydro got to do with anything? Sure, it's possible to grow plants fast in hydro. But as for potency, hydro vs. soil doesn't matter. They are both potent.

Ehh, But my point is Indoor Hydro is MORE POTENT than OUTDOOR not just soil but OUTDOORs. Cause outdoors causes more Decay of the Trichs and buds. ie bad weather. Indoors can have PERFECT STABLE CONDITIONS you cannot get Outside.. Thus I think thats why Nowdays MJ would be better than the Pasts grown out doors. Less Stress, More Trich.. it DEFF. Looks better.

Indoor "can" look better. But looks do not make good smoke. Looks are pleasing in appearence and make good pictures, but that does not mean it smokes good or is extra potent. Indoors or out, soil or hydro it doesn't matter. Neither is a big factor in potency.

Normally Indoor is More Potent than Outdoor.. Usually. =/ Im talking ppl who can grow. Indoor is valued more than Outdoor.. Where I live ppl literally ask.. Is this Indoor or Outdoor just as one might wonder if its indica or sativa

In my area there were only a small handful of people who grew hydroponically in the late 60's and 70s. Hell, only a handful had ever heard about it back then. There weren't hydro stores and there wasn't the internet where you could order them from or where you can watch how to build your own hydro setup videos and that would give you the list of parts needed. You had be learning it in college or find a book and then basically design and build it. They were crude looking by today's standards, but don't think they didn't work, or that none existed.
