Hi all i have what seems to be a fairly simple question but i cannot for the life of me find the answer so i hope you folks can help. I have the correct size exhaust fan and charcoal filter for my room i just need to know if i can vent the exhaust into another room in my house or do i have to exhaust out of my house?

Best to exhaust outside the house.. IE Attic, chimney.. etc

Another room will work, but not as well as well as the first.

Go outside with it for sure or up into the attic and out to the attic vent at the end of the house is what i got setup. Works great

Bummer im just not sure how to get the exhaust from my grow room on the first floor up through the second floor and into the attic and out the attic real stealth like. I have no rooms available to use as a grow room on the second floor and the attic is only 2 or 3 feet tall so that's a no go. Im stumped here!:-?

Do u have central heating and air at ur house? If so put a bigger cfm fan and run it down into the crawl space. I mean, this sint sugg. But i know for a fact it can be done. My buddy got a 8" vortex, high performance on ebay and cut a new hole from under the house up, dont cut wires, plumbing, copper water lines, etc. Just look before u cut. If u wanna experiment first try it before u cut, put the fan in the floor facing out the door and run the intake duct as high in the room as u can and see the airflow for urself

I wish i had central air:evil: No im running a window unit air conditioner in the living room on the first floor and one in my bedroom on the second floor. This house gets downright hot in the summer. More so on the second floor then the first floor but i already know before i start that i am going to have temp issues. I could cut a hole in one of the walls that is an outside wall and vent out of that wall but my neighbors house is literally only 5 or 6 feet away from my house. I have a medical use card so im legal to grow as far as the state is concerned but i would still rather not risk anyone knowing. Im going to be pulling fresh air in from a bathroom that is right next to the room and i was going to try and route the exhaust through the walls and up and out of the attic but i think that is a little over my head especialy since i have a whole 2nd floor to go through before i reach the attic. I am claustrophobic so ill have a buddy of mine check out the crawl space and see if that will work. Thanks everyone for the help so far.

Pardon my ignorance but by " In summer it will give you heat" are you referring to giving me heat in the grow room or in the room i vent it to? If its the room i would vent it to that would be the kitchen and not a problem if we added extra heat in the summer as we do not use the kitchen in the summer. I was actually thinking of exhausting the air through the wall rather close to the floor and out into the kitchen basically right under the sink. It would be out of sight and out of mind and no one would see it.

What about framing and sheetrocking a new chase up to the attic...the thing is, to move air very far at a high cfm, your going to need a fairly large duct, so u cant really go "inside" the wall. You could run the duct up the corner of the room above, and frame out around it. Shottys suggestion is even better, let us know how the crawlspace checks out and good luck
