So I tried to clone a plant way too far in to flower, just to see if I could. This branch I choose had 2 small buds on it. Well I thought it died, but it came back. Its been pretty long but it now has several nodes (like 6 I think), and it stays real tight. The leaves and the base of each node have a ton of trichs, even some of the new growth has trichs. Each new growth is the same single leaf. i thought it was just till it was reveged, but it has been on 24/7 for a month now and deffinatly in veg. Anyone else seen this?

sorry about the links, I dont know how to tunmbnail.

hmmm..thats a crazy lil plant you have there. I would keep it under 24/0 and force it back into veg. But there looks like new growth so that means you have roots..Youre in good shape.

It has been on 24/7 for over a month. and it has been rooted for about a month (power cloner).

how cool, why dont you try and graft other strains onto it?
maybe trim it up a bit.

it may eventually revert back to 2 3, then 4 leafs ect,
but i think coz youve got it on 24/0 it might be a bit confusing for the plant, if you switch down to 18/6 or 20/4 it may start to revert to veg mode more easily

if the plant eventually buds up, you could develop it into like a cutting for guerilla use ;)

Dont worry this happens to me all the time. Always after cloning after some really fast veg growth they can start to form single leafs that look like spinach sometimes.

The real problem is too much growth, too much light, and no enough nitrogen.

They are big enough now, clip off all the lower branches, anything that was there when you cloned it, just keep new growth. Switch to a 18/6 light cycle!! And if you havent already started your nutrients then start!

They are TOTALLY FINE, I had a plants do this and them grew to 18 inches, I just clipped all the singles off, flushed and started a diluted veg solution. They perked right back up, started growing normal leafs right away.

Iv never had a hermie or male plant EVER in my grow career, and Iv stressed plants in every way possible. I would imagine that is thanks to some solid genetics though. The fact is the more pure your strain is the less chance of hermies.

no males? thats pretty unfortunate to a person that likes to breed his plants for seed. i have one ice from marijuana-seeds.nl and one blueberry from bcseedking both clones and both are currently revegging. when they started growing back it took 3 weeks then they started with singles and actually moved on to doubles and are now starting to grow thier triples. the plants continued growing trichs on all leaves and branches up until now on 24/0 which they are now beging to break out of their "spinach" look. IMO when ever your changing your light cycle from 12/12 you really should stick your plants under a 24/0 cycle to insure that they know their needing to veg. the few hours of light will probably confuse the plants more than they need. peace.

This has happened to every clone that I have successfully grown. About 5... Plus most others I have seen in real life.

Your plant is fine, that is what happens when it goes from budd to flowering. When the plant goes into flower you notice how its slows down growth up to 90% but really instead of growing new vegg its turning into a flower, then when you take a flower and start to vegg it, it will get very bushy and have lots of branches. Sometimes i like to clone buds because of that reason. When you start to flower that plant you'll know what i mean.

Peace.

This is common when you clone from a flowering plant. It causes it to grow really slowly for a while and just pop out the single leaves. Once it hits it's stride it will start growing normal leaves and be just like any other plant from there up.

sweet... I guess. I was kinda hopping I had a freak. I had grand dreams of an 9' monster next summer, that didn't look like weed......

man i have some right now that have been flowering for about 4 weeks and they went from 3 blades to single blade leaves. its all about the plants genetics. if your reveging they will start with single blade leaves then start to 3 to 5 to 7 to 9. i was really surprised with this strain that im growing right now that they actually went from 3 blades to single blades from seed. its very interesting. but its all about the genetics. peace.

I completely stripped a plant except for the very bottom and it grew back to a large plant but you could see the degredation in it. It looked like that

yeah when you start a plant the first few leaves to come out are straight singles, thats what this plant is doing because its starting over like a seed is. making roots and everything its just bigger, putting out bigger straight leaves

I had one outdoor this summer that was growing with single leaves it stayed that way until it was almost a foot tall. It was nice having a plant that looked nothing like a weed plant. Once it started showing though it blew up and looked pretty clear hat it was almost instantly.
