size make a difference?

This may be a stupid question, but I searched and couldn't really find a clear answer: Does the size of the plant effect the flowering time? Would a plant say like 6'' tall finish before a 12'' plant of the same strain? As I said, excuse the oddity of the question......

Just a thought. I've noticed that after say 9 weeks flowering, my larger plants will be p[erfectly finnished on top, but the lower branches are still white haired and ready to keep going, and as such, is not the best smoke unless you let it fully ripen up. So bearing that in mind, unless you have crazy light penetration, then would you not end up with more fully ripened bud in the same amount of time from many small plants than the equivalent weight in a few big plants? I'm scrogging this time around just to try and remove that extra week or two i often find i have to give the lower half of taller plants. (once i get a big new new light it shouldn't be such an issue)

no the size of the plant doesnt make a difference but generally the bigger the plant the older it is, older plants take less time realising the light difference and begin sprouting pistols and calyxs ealier than younger plants after being in 12/12 for any length of time. but if it actually speeds up total flower to harvest time , im not sure, i dont think so.

All good points. Tip, sounds like you've figured out your problem already, light penetration. Maybe chop the top and let the rest go longer? The scrog will also eliminate the problem.
