Skylight!?

A few questions for you.
How many hours of direct sunlight does the skylight receive per day?
How big is the skylight?
How much height is there below the skylight for the plants to grow in?
How many plants are you intending to grow?
Have you grown before?
Your question is quite hard to answer without knowing the answers to mine.

My neighbors suck... and paranoia is setting in. I was planning to drop them in the bush soon as my partner is ready and temporarily have them in the enclosed patio under the skylight and just wondered if it can be done... jus wondering if anyone has pulled it off with good results.

at 9 feet.. i would expect a lot of stretch. They were outside in full sunlight until yesterday and look good and stocky at its 5-6 node at about 8"... note also i started em in 1gal pots. until root bound then transplanted in the 3gal pots.

You could always stand them on a box or something so they're under the skylight, but I don't think you'll get 6 of them under a square foot of light, not once they've grown a bit at any rate.
An 8" plant won't be root bound in a gallon pot. I grow mine to 3 foot or so and they stay in 4 litre (just short of a gallon) pots for the last 10 weeks of their life with no problem.
You don't need big pots to grow big plants, you just need to feed and water when the plant needs it. The hard part is knowing when the plant needs it.
I wish you all the best, but I would suggest maybe growing them under the skylight for a week or so, then pick out the best 2, maybe 3 plants and try to make something of them, rather than cramming 6 under there.
