Slinger's 300 watt LED grow, Purple Cadillac and Grand AK

Day 52 of 12/12

In reading back over my journal I found that I stated the exact date I thought the plants would be done and that was April 5th, for an 8 week flowering period, I think Im gonna go 9 weeks on both, thats 9 weeks since flowers began to form not the 12/12 switch, so April 12th it is. Any guesses on yield??? I dont know the actual draw of the LED's but i would guess its around 240 watts? so if I got 1 GPW that would be 480g that would be a little over 1lb. Seeing as this is my first LED grow and Ive ran into complications. I could expect half of that? Just some musing, I did mention earlier about being happy with a qp per plant.

Day 54 of 12/12

Watered both plants today with 1800 PPM AN Overdrive nute solution. This is their last watering with nutrients. In 2 days I will be cutting a small sample to check trichrome coloration. Tried to use my 60x magnifier but my hands are too shaky. Saw a little bit of cloudy trich's on the Grand AK but she is not nearly fat enough for me to harvest now.

Light bleaching is my only guess.

Yea light bleaching. I got a spot a lot bigger than that. I can not raise the light anymore or tie the cola down anywhere (just pops back). So i just left it. Still seems to grow and some has faded, possibly from new growth around it.

Yea I can raise my lights anymore and I'm maxed out on space myself. That's what I get for vegging too long but hopefully the harvest will be worth it.

Everything looks awesome man! Does the light bleaching hurt there bud at all? Honestly it looks awesome! I was like I'd love to smoke some straight up white weed!

I don't know if it hurts them at all. The lower parts of the nugs that are bleached seem to be exploding with growth but that may be just where I'm at in flowering. When I harvest I'll definitely give a report on smoke quality of the bleached tips.

Day 57 of 12/12

The PC is just getting fatter and fatter. The AK is not doing anything except the hairs are turning red rapidly. I think I'm screwed on the AK's harvest the buds are not developed nowhere near as much as the PC. Flushing both starting with tomorrow's watering. Getting close to the end guys. 2 weeks to go is my expectation. I might give them a few more days if they don't quite look ready but the chop is coming. Very excited!

Day 58 of 12/12

Watered both plants today. Does Snowstorm Ultra count as a nute? Gave both plants 2 gallons of PHed water with 2 tsp of SS Ultra. I just picked it up for the next grow but wanted to test it slightly by giving them 1 water with it. Maybe no change but it was just for fun.

Sorry to butt in here your doing a great job on this thread I have learned alot I want to grow just like you did here getting them babies layed out and I'm glad you went all led. Does anyone think i can grow that with a Pro-grow260x or the 400 or maybe something smaller i just don't know, i'm real close to buying, asap! sorry to butt in won't do again keep up the nice work your doing here! thanks!

With the 400, probably. There are a lot more factors than just light output though! Also, remember Slinger's using 300W of HPS for "supplemental" during flowering, which really increases his footprint and allows coverage of that massive canopy.

Actually I ditched the hps and have been running 2x 300 watt led. If you read back through you will see I stated that earlier. Gonna buy a kilowatt to see my actual draw of power from the lights. Sorry there hasn't been any new photos lately, no internet til later this week. Only text updating from my phone.

I was having heat issues because I didn't have enough CPM's of exhaust. I would be fine now but I wanna see what full LED has to offer.

I've registered to this forum to find some decent LED-grow-journals, but this one was more than excellent!

I'm planning on growing almost an identical setup (without the HPS-bulbs), but only 1 plant since it will be my first grow ever.
And after reading this whole report i just want to start ASAP!

Thank you very much sir but if you read the whole report you would see I am not using the hps, 2 x 300 watt LED.
