Slow growing seedlings

Does anyone know if seeds need lights on before they sprout or will it help? I have 12 med MJ plants ina propagator and have been maintaing a temp of about 28 C They seems moist and there is a humidity film on the prop Any tips would be appreciated greatly!

dont need light till it sprouts all it will help with is some extra heat if you need it

So would it be better in darker conditions or in a window sill away from direct sunlight?

it really dosent mater light wont hurt just maybe dry you up a lil quicker

just put it anywhere throw i under your lights once you see it breaking soil

Did you Germinate them before you put them in the soil?

Yes I did 24 hrs in distilled water.....most split one had a good tail but later died after sprouting.....overwatered I think? I repotted them in Jiffy pods and will try again....most of the seeds were in good condtion and some were split open....I have learned my lesson lees is more! Tomorrow would be day 7 so I will give it a few more days before I freak out...ty for your help and questions!

less IS more with cannabis. it tolerates neglect better than doting

Mr.Ganja is completely right, let nature take its course the seeds gonna sprout even without all the novelties and special conditions you give it! I just say stop babying them and let them do what there supposed to.

I've never had germination problems using plain tap water. I think that the little bit of chlorine helps keep down any nasties that might otherwise harm the tap root (like bacteria or fungus, which also like the same environment your seeds do), but never harms the seed itself. I'd use filtered water for every other stage of growing though.
