Check you leaf surface temperature. Keep it within 72° to 78°. Room air temp will be from 78° to 84°.

You can out run him. The key is the temperature.

What is your 1500w led?
HPS takes some beating for plant growth plants grow like mushrooms to hps, plants grow during the dark so I'm unsure what difference 24hrs might make, I'd expect a little more growth with 24hrs but that's just what I'd expect idk for sure?

Bet you $100 that your 1500 watt LEDs are not even close to drawing 1500 watts at the wall. Do you have a killawatt meter or a smart plug so we can figure out how much power your lights actually use. Once we figure that out I can help you make the proper adjustments to improve growth. The climate parameters for your LED grow are gonna be a bit different than his. Hopefully your lights have enough power

there likesun leds 1500 each from amazon
i was thinking the HPS would be warmer on the plants like sun shin on them my rooms around 21 deg and his is around 25 from the HPS

HPS will blow low end LED out of the water, you will love the growth from your new lights.

Whoever “they” is is right. LEDs can be better than HPS in certain ways. But did you bother asking which LED it is they’re talking about. Guarantee it wasn’t those LikeSuns you bought.

What's that, like around 100w? There's a part of your problem.

Summer, winter, spring or fall...those lights aren’t gonna do a damn thing for you but waste electricity. You’ve got a lot of research to do before you dive into the world of LEDs. If you paid $189 each then you overpaid by about $189. Unless you are willing to do the research and make the investment then the best thing for you to do is to just buy an HPS light and start over. The lights you have would be fine for keeping a mother alive, a propagation yeah or vegging some small plants, but even then they’re not ideal. Yes, you can grow good weed with that light but unless you’re cool with harvesting an ounce or two from a single plant per light then you’re gonna want to change it up. Sorry if I come off sounding like a sick but that’s the reality.

If you really want to grow with LEDs then you’ve got quite a bit of research to do. There are endless threads on this board and loads of others with treasure troves of information. Lots of people here willing to help as well. Please don’t just post “well what do I need to grow about a pound of fire” and expect to get the right answer for you. Figure out what your goals are as far as yield and quality, your budget and what sort of space you have to work with.
