IHG also selected a few great phenos of their own, most notably the #7 and #22. I think there are a lot of keepers to be found.
That I know and I get what your saying goes with what I am trying to say. With more beans hunted you have a chance to truly find a special pheno. Did IHG ever state how many beans they went through to find #7 and #22?

I'm not sure, but I'd venture to say at least 22, lol.

For some growers pheno hunting can slow down their operation if they are limited on space/plant count.
Ya I meant to say, I have a separate room for seed plants and pheno hunting. Not I haven't, you probably got that though. Ya running seed plants in my main room fucks up production with yields cause you don't know what you you're going to get and also have to keep a close eye for possible hermies.

With the regular pack I got multiple phenos, one dosi leaning, one punch leaning than a few that have a bit of both. The one I chose was the absolute best. The dosi leaner looked absolutely fire but lacked a good nose. My pheno literally smells like a grape slush puppie or sometime of flavor of slush puppie maybe the grave digger( when you hit the cup with every flavor of slush puppie) I used to do that after hockey practice. Its different than purple punch, smells alot better. Its reminds me of the alcohol drinks you get in those giant plastic cup at concerts, that what this pheno smells like to me. The dosi knocks up the potency with slurricane and purp punch gives it bag appeal.

Man it was a wild west showdown everytime I walked into the old yellow gas station to get my slush puppy. As soon as I would walk in the door the clerk would give me a scowling look. I'd make my way to the slush puppy machine, and he would get into his "launch" position beside the counter. I fill my cup with tiny ice balls, place my cup under the flavor pump, and look over at my nemesis and begin to grin. Im pumping like Ron Jeremy on speed as he rushes from behind the counter yelling "2 pumps, only 2 pumps!!!" He was old school, had no qualms smacking a 7 year old in the back of the head. But fuck, Slush Puppy had the juice back in '92.
Sounds like a killer cut :blsmoke:

Who knows if he had hunted two packs divided's pheno could have been the "cowboy cut"
Haha ya I never heard of the "cowboys cut" looked into it and it the cut that pcg sells its was a pheno grown by some dude named cowboy buds. Honestly the naming of cuts can be traced back to the early weed growing forum boards back in the day, like icmag and overgrow...think of cookies "forum cut"...It's s a way to trade cuts around and identify their exclusivity, and also for dick measuring purposes. The cowboy cut of slurricane sells for about $200 a cut. Thing is slurricane is not that exclusive anymore and if you ran through a pack or 2 you could probably find a similar pheno. Looking at pic of the cowboy cut its looks a lot like the cut I run. Another example is a pheno of meat breath making the rounds on instagram, it sells for a pretty hefty price tag, thing is I've seen pics and think my meat breath pheno that I run beats the meatbreath cut selling online.

All the talk about the magnificent Slurricane from In House Genetics as if its the Holy Grail.

I'll say again, Anesia Seeds have done a very good job with their Slurricane so before writing any other bank off I'd suggest you try it first before casting judgement.

In House are good but so are Anesia Seeds and their Slurricane is exactly the same linage.

Nothing at all wrong with Anesia Slurricane and a comparison can't be made unless you have tried from both banks.

It somewhat comical listening to some here in such a frenzy over that particular In House strain whilst not acknowledging that Anesia Slurricane could be just as good if not better even.

Nothing wrong at all with Anesia Slurricane, it's an absolute corker much like the In House version you are all singing praises about.

Same breeding and highly likely they are very much the same so all this nonsense about #7, #44 and XI etc being the best is not so elusive when there is the same can be said for Anesia Slurricane.

Ive grown for 3 decades and that Anesia Slurricane is in my top 3 smokes, not saying In House is not good because I doubt that very much but I do know Anesia Slurricane would keep with it for sure

Secret society seed co version wasn't too shabby either. Got 3 packs for 60 each to go through this was just from popping 3. Can't go wrong with dosi x punch no matter who crosses it.IMG_20190911_223209515_1_1_1.jpg

Jeez chill dude no one said anything bad about anesia slurricane, just haven't heard of it. I don't even like in-house that much, they just scored with their slurricane. I like ihg lemon lime punch, that strain was fire and their platinum kush breath is a banger know a few people growing it, and its trich content is insane. Some of ihg i find lacking in potency but slurricane is not one of em.

Feel like you could cross dosi and purple punch yourself and get pretty good results from a good old chuck, purple punch seem to cross very well. Purple punch by itself is pretty lackluster though.

At least 44.. Slurricane IX is part #44.
This is what I am trying to say is out of at least 44 beans only #7 and #22 were his picks. How many packs does it take to get 44 beans? I have seen many different prices of the cowboy cut even cheaper if your local. When trying to compare phenos and what not from ig many factors come to play. Environment conditions the growers skill ect even to the point if it's there first go or if they have it dialed in or not can effect outcomes.

lol It's not that IHG slurricane is the holy grail, it's that he created it and the others are simply copies. I'm not a huge IHG fan but it's super lame to copy other breader's creations. It is an ethical decision to not support people who copy others genetics. I am not concerned about anyone else's version because to me their possible quality will never make up for a lack of ethics. I am aware that this is my opinion and not everyone will agree with it.

I understand why some would simply buy the cheapest one that they can find because that is all they can afford, but that is not me. I'll support the creator or no one.

As far as slurricane goes it is a really good strain but I think that IHG has better strains than that. Dunno why this one caught on so much more than others. I have a Forbidos going right now that destroys any Slurricane I have tried in taste, fruity smell and potency. Also the PKB Remix I have is WAY more potent than any Slurricane I've tried and sooooo beautiful. Don't get me wrong though I do like Slurricane, I'm hunting 4 more right now actually.

Snowflake noobie
lol I am neither but you sure sound like a douche ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Being a snowflake would require me to actually give a sh*t about what others do. Buy whatever you want.

I was replying to him referring to IHG version as the holy grail, and him not understanding why some wouldn't try the version he was recommending.

It's possible to simply give an opinion and not be upset by someone not agreeing.

Out here in Cali, cowboys cut sells for around $20 a pop. Cowboys Buds seems to be part of the PCG crew, and he's got a new strain he calls "Slurty3", which is his cut of Slurricane crossed with Gelatto 33. I'd like to run it..
