So what do you guys typically use?

I myself use mason jars but they do leak a little smell - can help to rub some lip balm or something on the seal.

Just wondering what u guys use? And is it smell proof? Haha

Yeah usually a bit of Vaseline helps but this Stardawg is absolutely reeking haha.
They do have these metal canisters used for curing that are smell proof.

Also what about vacuum seal food bags? then put that in a sealed bucket or something.

Have you met Mrs. pre 98 BK? It and Lucky charms are rampant. It's on our person and attire actually. Resins and oils spread far and fast. Washing after handling is always the first line of defense. LOL. May my yard always smell of skunk in the morning.
Nan man haha - can only imagine the smell though! I’d like to visit your yard then haha

Well that would work for long term storage but I’m in the jar 4-5 times a day xD

Yeah might have to look into some metal ones.
Cheers guys!

KISS. Wash your hands and change clothes if dealing with any weight. Wash or wipe containers with bleach solution or iso after cleaning yourself. You, we, smell of weed. Just being around it. "Nose blind." Just trying to state the overlooked obvious.

I think you're using the Vaseline wrong.

Funny you mention Stardawg. One of my all time favorites.

Crazy thing, I just made my first batch of gummies last night and used Stardawg BHO that I've had for awhile. It was super easy.View attachment 4724499

Yeah it’s a fantastic strain - nice uplifting high followed by a relaxed state. Then for me a savage case of the munchies.

Gummies look awesome dude!!

I keep my mason jars in a Coleman food cooler....keeps them out of sight in a dark environment and contains any leakage smell

I would be concerned lip balm (or other) would impact the MJ...maybe not but I wouldn't risk it

cheers

I've had some stinky stuff and you can't smell it through the glass and seal of a mason jar with the canning lid tightened down by the ring. They're designed to store food for years. I don't see how any smell is going to get out until you open up the jar. If you're using those plastic lids instead of a ring you still need the canning lid with the seal underneath.

Well just a tiny bit of Vaseline.

I think the lock may be loser than the others I’ve got.

Mason jars are air tight and won’t allow any smell to leak out, but if you are handling the jar at the same time that you are trimming you are probably getting a lot of that fresh resin on the outside of the jars. What I do when I’m ready to start trimming is have all my jars washed and set out on a nearby table ready to be filled. I then fill all the jars with the trimmed bud. Then after removing my gloves from trimming (and a hand wash if necessary) I’ll seal the jars.
