I harvested my blue pyramid autoflower exactly one week ago and i still have it hanging to dry but theres no smell coming from it like no smell in the air and when you get close to smell it its not skunky or anything just smells like dry grass basically. Any suggestions or ideas on why this is happening and if there might be a way to fix it when it comes time to smoke? I know it was ready to be chopped she was all milky trichomes with a good amount of amber as well im just not sure what the issue is i wanna be able to enjoy my smoke though when it comes time im gonna let it dry for another week still though. So any opinions or suggestions anybody?

Probably cut to soon. Were you checking trichs on the sugar leaves or the buds themselves? Pictures?

Bottle fed? Too many nutes. Shit makes your trichs look mature when they aren't.

Was the plant doing photosynthesis when you harvested? Plant is screaming for help yet can't repair itself, it died in vain.

I absolutely love how internet growers will demand precision details of your grow for every other question, except harvesting/drying/curing questions, the most important part.

I did wet trim everything and before i chopped her she had a real nice fruity kinda gassy smell but now its gone but she still has like another week to dry
I'd say a week or 2 early. But smell shud come back with proper drying and curing.. Bud is ready to jar once the stem snaps and doesn't bend. Gl and enjoy your bud

That is okay, I have two grows under my belt so still a newbie, this notwithstanding, both grows I have wet trimmed and have always had that cut grass smell which is logical when you think about it. I haven't dry trimmed yet but I'm guessing the weed smell would be retained somewhat because you haven't cut to the extent whereby the plant is 'bleeding'...once it's dry, (snap and feel test etc ), it may still smell of hay, a good cure in a jar will bring the gorgeous bud smell back.

When it starts drying, the chlorophyll starts breaking down in the leaves. This is that hay smell you're catching. Terpenes will develop when you cure, but you may still get that hay smell for the first week or two. Whether or not it will get skunky, I can't say, but that hay smell isn't permanent. Chin up and cure it.

Just use your boveda packs and a hydrometer. Burp 2 or 3 times a day for 15-30 minutes every day for the first 2 weeks. Then once a day for another two weeks. Then ever couple days etc etc

I have some boveda is, 62%, tbh I haven't used em yet cos I read somewhere that they take some flavour away, so like all things cannabis you have one camp that swears by em and another that say it's a no no...i reckon if you have a mini hygrometer in the jar with the buds you can keep an eye on the moisture, if it gets to high, open the jar for a bit, or alternatively stick a boveda in, I suppose the good thing about the packs is it will maintain a constant moisture level by either giving or taking away, also if cigar users are using em to maintain their humidor stock they can't be all that bad.

It might not go entirely away but a good few weeks in jars should make it a lot better mate.
I've had a couple plants that just tasted shit regardless.
Takes a bit of practice to get it right so don't be too disappointed if your first couple grows don't go to plan.
Honestly i had this same problem with my first grow as well and this is only my second grow ever. But ill figure it out thank you for all the advice.

Some plants and phenotypes just don’t have much terps either or they seem to “cook” off when drying.

Usually tho if it stank a lot before harvest and during harvest the smell will come back but can take anywhere from a few days to a good few weeks depending on the terps and strain etc etc.
