Smoking Around Plants, Good or Bad?

This is not true. It wont kill your plants. If anything, if you think about it logically, it would help.

I smoke ciggs around mine everyday, none of them have complained yet...
Logically:

Cigarette smoke contains Benzopyrene, dibenzopyrene, benzene, isoprene, toluene (hydorcarbons); naphthylamines; nickel, polonium, plutonium, arsenic, cadmium (metallic constituents); carbon dioxide, methane, ammonia, nitric oxide, nitrogen dioxide, hydrogen sulphide (gases); methyl alcohol, éthanol, glycerol or glycerine, glycol (alcohols and esters); acetaldehyde, acrolein, acetone (aldehydes and ketones); cyanhydric or prussic acid, carboxyl derivatives (acids); chrysene, pyrrolidine, nicoteine, nicotinine, nicoteline, nornicotine, nitrosamines (alkaloids or bases); cresol (phenols).
Any of them positive for life? You plant may not die, but it certainly isnt going to help it at all, more likely to slow down growth.

I've seen so many threads on this and smoking around your plants really won't make a bit off difference. Skitzotic said it best. As long as you're not baking out your grow room, it won't matter

When the plant senses fire it closes its stomata for a certain period of time. While the stomata are closed water uptake is GREATLY slowed which means less nute uptake less transpiration and a lot less growth. Best to avoid it..talking and breathing on them is good..they love breath :). Just not smoke lol.

An experienced grower told me NOT to smoke around my plants and definitely DON'T blow smoke on your plants, if there is powdery mildew on the bud your smoking you won't even see it, you won't taste it and you could blow the spores on your plants, its very rare but why take the chance. Also, as mentioned previously plants take in co2 and releases o2 through pores on the leaves called "stomata", these pores are VERY tiny, practically microscopic, so when you blow smoke on them the resins, tar (if were talking about cigarettes the list of chemicals goes on and on as mentioned previously) etc. can clog those pores, that is absolutely NOT a good thing. As for the co2 in smoke being beneficial, RIDICULOUS, the amount of co2 produced is barely above what you would get from just blowing air on them, both completely inconsequential, unless you want to enclose your self in a small grow room and breath on them for several hours, lol. If you want supplemental co2 and you can't afford a tank and regulator (like me) then just make a fermentation bottle, they work quite well especially when using champagne yeast and brown sugar. Look up DIY co2 here if your interested. You have the right to do what ever you want but I'm going to listen to the experienced grower who ALWAYS produces fantastic results.

its allways known not to smoke around a plant but im smoking a blunt right now sittin right next to my growroom and nothings happening to my plants lol and there still female...

It would be like eating a hamburger while tending to cattle - your plants may be disturbed to know their fate ;)
I could walk up to you with a Human Burger - you probably wouldn't notice... I used to roll my morning joint and sit with my plants, looked as though they didn't mind.
