smoking weed straight off the plant?

someone told me u can pick bud off a growing plant, put it in the oven for a bit to dry it out, and smoke it right there.
is this how it works?

Good ole fashioned drying for 2 weeks, then curing in the jar for 2 more.... mmm, mmm good! But if u just wanna try out a new harvest and can't wait, the method u metioned will work, but it won't have the taste.

LOL... I can just see someone somewhere in the world sitting there with a bowl of fresh goods in a spoon with a lighter...

patience is its own reward, however if you must smoke some now slip it into the micro on paper (it will help absorb the moisture) for 20 secs at 20% power. repeat as necessary.

I have dried it with a hair dryer before. Wanted to see if it was as good as it looked. Tasted like crap, but gave me a good indication of what I had. You could build a drying box: https://www.rollitup.org/do-yourself/29683-bud-dryer.html to get better results, but you will still want to cure it for the best flavor.

Dude, that was me! A long time friend was coming to SoCal from Washington State and said she'd be bringing some buds that she grew. We get to my house and it turns out that she picked them that morning!

It was a bad scene.

This is a little absurd. I never bake, microwave or anything like that. No such thing as a quick dry in my book.

It does work although not recommended, but the only thing affected is the taste, not the quality.

Seedlings won't get you high, but they may be a great addition to a salad. don't forget the croutons!
