After watching a potential outdoor grow area for a few years while I perfect my skill indoor, I have decided it’s time to go big.
I tested my potential area last summer with a few white widow plants last but I put them out too early which resulted in early budding. I then put out a haze Sativa plant and had good success just using the ground and a heavy harvest from AN. The plant did considering a short veg season and yielded 3 oz. (see pics). The only thing I didn’t like about Haze was the buds were a little fluffy.
The area is well surrounded by large trees and various vegetation ranging in height and colors.
Not a soul to be found in the area except deer, which I can handle.
I will be putting out 14-16 plant into 2-3 cubic ft holes I have been preparing for months now.
My selection, all from Nirvanna.
AK48 (should finish first)
White widow (next to finish)
Ice
Durbin Poison (Sativa) will finish last.
I selected these strains first because I like them and secondly because if they all finish at the same time I could be trimming bud for days on end.
I am using a soil mix of my own based on sphagnum moss, with perlite, vermiculite, compost and some natural dirt from the area. To get my girls started I will be using bat guano, bone meal, natural lime for ph control and cal mag, and pot ash from burning oak over the winter. I will also add in some HigroMite in the bottom of the holes for good drainage. Later I will add in heavy harvest from AN.
I’m a little late getting the girls into the ground but giving my Haze plant last summer didn’t finish until after thanksgiving I will still have a good 4 months of veg. I don’t want my girls growing over 6 ft tall so I will be topping frequently.
