snip or snap

this is not a debate about removing healthy fan leaves!!! i have some crispy lamp dried fan leaves that need to be removed but the stems are still holding fast as the title implies which is less stressful snipping or snapping at the node i am in week six of 12/12 and though the problem has been corrected as we all know the damage is done . my concern has to do with the potentual for mold as the crispy tips are touching nugs and the leaves at this point are 50% useless any insight into this matter would be greatly appreciated thanx whitefrost

If leaf has > 50% damage I would remove it to allow for better light penetration. If you have burnt tips and edges but the inner part is green leave them alone.
