so i didnt clone the one i want to keep

I have a few blackwater plants growing,and a sample of each plant flowering..the one that shows the most vigor,and is pure purple all around,I didn't make a clone of(I'm so mad at myself)..question is can I clone a piece of this plant..its about a week away from harvest..I. clone in an aero mister type clone box,4 gal of r.o.h2o with 30ml of botanicare calmag..I'm no master of anything,but I get 100percent success in a 64 site clone box...would this method work for a flowering polant?..my apprehension is I had an issue with the batch of fem seeds,one was male,and I don't want to stress the cutting and create a hassle in the long run by it turning hermie or dying ...any info is welcome.

Im pretty sure you can reveg your flowering plant. Ive heard this maybe here somewhere. when harvesting leave a stalk with a node or 2. Throw it in the veg room and see wha it does.

I may do both,take a clone and reveg..I'm assuming I should cut away as much of the bud from the cut,or take one that has very little bud? And the same with the mother ill be revegging?

I took 4 clones from my plants 2 weeks into bud. They have sprouted roots but haven't started to show new growth yet. *fingers crossed *

You can clone that plant whenever ...veg to harvest ..as long as it is alive...as for revenge...no don't take as much bud possible . Leave some growth ...the more the better...

As an aside.. re-veg time may take a few, have read of strains taking 3-4 weeks before they start to grow in veg cycle after being re-veg'd.

Depends on the current amount of stress, the strain, all of the grow room conditions.. and a few other things. Definitely stressful, and % chance of hermie, yes.. but can be worked around if you're extremely careful as to when you do it. You could take flowering clones, or you could keep it in flower until she's ready for harvest, pick the bud off by hand.. and then re-veg.. but make sure you leave as much veg/leaf material behind is as humanly possible, then re-veg `er. Keep in mind that no matter what method you select, there will be a % chance.. but a % chance is better than having no clones to work with, and it's a calculated risk that you will have to decide - is it worth the potential headache to try to pull this off?

Well the pheno I got is purple..leaves,bud,entirely purple..white and frosty rock hard buds..the problem is it came from a 6 pack of fem seeds and one was completely male,so I don't wanna save it if the little stress will hurt me in the long run

The only reason growers clone during a plants vegging cycle is due to the fact that they create roots much more readily so I would give you the go ahead sign for cloning.

You could decrease the chance of the plant going hermi by gradualy changing the light back to vegging stage.

Removing all the buds will be extremely beneficial as the plant can go back to focusing on growing up.

I understand that most likely you have finished the grow but at least this information can help your future grows.
