So a little background info.

I'm 19. I don't go to the doctor often. This was the first time in a year or so but that was a walk in clinic.. haven't had my own general practitioner since my pediatrition lol. I have severe anxiety which was diagnosed by a psychiatrist some years ago. I also have had insomnia for the past 2 years. Tried non prescript sleeping pills that didnt work. Started smoking weed before bed in august. Cured my insomnia for the most part :):):):). I smoke kush or power plant and let my ass pass the fuck out at around 12 or 1.

So anyways, I got in with this new Indian doc in a city near me. Supposed to be a really laid back understanding guy. Went in there, explained my very clean medical history (since he didnt want to waste time calling pediatrition), then he asked why I came in. Explained everything about my insomnia. The instant I mentioned marijuana he giggled and told me to find another physician if I wanted to bring that up ever again. He was a fucking cock sucker. He went on for minutes about how "Pot rots the brain and destroys braincells like no other drug" and how if I keep up my smoking habits "I'll be doing cocaine in a year". I by no means look like the type of person that would go into a docs office looking for a easy way to get some chronic lol. I'm a little clean cut blonde kid trying to get some fucking sleep. The best part is - after going on about how bad marijuana is, he prescribed me 60 7.5 milligram pills of Mylan - zopiclone. That's the highest reccomended dosage for a full grown adult who has been on sleeping medication before lol. and then he told me not to take them 2 nights in a row because they are highly addictive, so did the pharmacist, yet the label says take 1 before bed each night.

this was a long thread, and will probably be the longest I ever post but I had to get this out. DOCTORS LIKE THIS ARE THE SCUM OF THE EARTH. they are paid off by pharmacutical companies, and are willing to fuck up lives to get paid.

I flushed the pills down the toilet I won't sell them or eat them ever.:wall::wall::wall::wall::wall::wall::wall::wall::wall::wall::wall::wall::wall::wall::wall::wall::wall::wall::wall::wall::wall::wall::wall::wall::wall::wall::wall::wall::wall:

The good news is he filled out a new mental health form saying I have severe sleep disturbances, chronic insomnia, severe anxiety, and severe stress. These resulting in lack of productivity, so hopefully I can show these to a psychiatrist and get someone to sign my health canada forms.

not even to alleviate the pains? I mean I have read that it can actually cure cancer, and has many times according to "medicine man" in high times...but at the very least I would undoubtedly prescribe it to deal w/ the pains of cancer and chemotherapy...im not a doctor (yet), but I believe many people would agree w/ my statement like Dr. Lester Grinspoon

I really do believe it is a healer.. Idk about curing cancer but it obviously numbs pain. My best friend's dad had a brain tumor and his doc wouldn't give him meds, they gave him hardcore stimulants in the form of patches which he didn't really mind.

I am happy I got him to sign all those random things on the mental health form cuz now that'll be in my record and I may even be able to go straight to health canada.

so, I apologize for my ignorance, but what exactly is health canada? American here...and I am extremely confused about Canada's marijuana laws and what not...are patients allowed to grow marijuana only or???

don't worry about the explanation if it is too complicated

I appreciate you asking that lol, it's a good question. Ontario's system is kinda fucked. It's harder to obtain a card then in most states where there are mmj clinics. In canada you need to have a doc sign that he thinks you using marijuana is a good idea, then he writes a daily amount of suggested grams. Then u send forms signed by he/she into health canada which is just the part of our gov. which deals with health issues. Once you actually obtain a card it's pretty legit. You are allowed to be prescribed 1-7 grams a day, and grow your own depending on how much you need. Check this calculator out it shows how much your allowed to grow/have on you. It's hilarious lol.

You know what's a pity? Doctors that are stupid and doctors that lie to their patients so they buy expensive meds.

It's funny how medical marijuana is recognized in Canada, yet some doctors actually think they know more than the rest of the country. Beliefs are near impossible to change and if they are corrupt beliefs its all the worse. He can't actually believe what he is saying though, can he?

that is pretty cool, so basically at 1 g a day, they allow you to keep over a 6 month stock on hand (if I calculated that correctly), that is great! Most of the US states have a limit on usable at 2.5 oz, the tops I think in some states is 7 or 9oz which more correlates to your allowance.

I recently went through the same thing, not really a problem sleeping, problem falling to sleep. My primary doc, refers me to phyciatrist, went through at least 3 meds with NO results. I dont know of the medicine you speak, what finally worked for me was Seroquel (in the US). Of course I researched this online before I went in and basically this is one you can take 25mg up to like 300mg, depending on your needs, QUITE a big difference. Doc tells me basically, yes that I am correct, to basically dosage myself as needed because he knows I am at my wits END over not being able to get to sleep. He prescribes the 25mg, and the ONLY night since I got the prescript I couldnt get to sleep (after choosing to stay up until 3am in the first place, then still couldnt sleep) was the one night I forgot to take the ONE 25 mg pill. Now it does not knock me out, and I didnt want a pill like that so for me it was a god send. I take it about a 1 1/2 hrs before bed, and about that time later, I think it gives me that little extra kick, I dont know, but when I lay my head down now, when I am READY for sleep, I get it. I know how it is man, & I hope you get good sleep from now on. And while, meds are funny things, & all work differently on different people, if u r concerned about the meds ur taking, maybe if they have Seroquel there, you can try that. BTW: smoking always works to get me to sleep. But I dont like to have to do that, every night, just for that, and no I did not tell my dr. (any of them) I smoke. Just like there, most dr.'s arent down for hearing that. And I am medically licensed in my state, but I went to a doctor that specilizes in that licensing with dr. reports from my other physicians documenting my conditions, so I could keep my usage from my primary doctors UNKNOWN. It will be a blessed day, when no one has to hide that information or worry about the treatment you received!
