I have heard alot of people that go 12/12 from seed. The only situation i would do this in is if i had a 600 or 1000 Watt HPS and an autoflowering strain. Other than that your probably going to waste a bunch of time and kill your plants.So I'm starting a new grow, my third grow, and I want to try 12/12 from seed, but I've been told something like starting out 24/0 and then 18/6? That wouldn't be 12/12 from seed then would it? So my question is, is 12/12 from seed exactly what it sounds like or is there more to it?
Hmmm...now that you mention it, the strain I saw in the 12/12 from seed thread was an auto-flowering strain. Maybe I won't try this after all.

yeah, ive heard the potency issue. Thats why youd wana start with clones. A clone is as old as its mother. But your wrong on the male part, flowering early gives you a higher female rate. straight from ed rosenthals books, ive done my homework. Dont mean to be a pest with all you guys id just like to see the correct info get out, and people to learn the facts, and not be mislead by false statements past down by word of mouth
That statement is false unless you can provide some emperical evidence to support it. There are potentcy issues, and yield issues. Why would you want a plant to yield 2 oz when it could have yielded 4 had you vegitated. It is completely stupid imo, unless you don't have time to vegitate it i can understand then.
