I've done DWC and it was certainly vigorous growth rates. Veg seemed liked animals just taking over. Literally see the substantial growth in 8-10 hours.

I started with hydro and have since gone to soil to check it out. When I get back to doing hydro (If I do) I'll definitely see if I can make a larger scale DWC work. The problem for me is really losing the ability move things around and keep it all portable to some extent.

yeah i feel u there, i gt 85 litre res, and 6 autos in there,, its not like i can just move em to the left a foot or summit, way too heavy lol and res changing can get crowded due to nt being able to shift the res over to accomodate... the liitle 16l buckets cant be 2 bad though ??

wat sort of hydro did u do,, nft??

Ebb & Flow. I love growing hydro but too many reports about how much better the taste is with soil lead me to try soil for a little while. I'll harvest my first soil batch in about 10 days. If they aren't a whole lot better tasting I won't be stickin' to soil. It sure is easy, but the growth rates are a bit slower.

i started in soil and had some decent results , i wud say that the need to flush ya crop wen in soil is less important than in hydro, but i have tasted some tasty hydro buds as well,, topmax works a treat in , pumps loads of sugars in to sweeten ya crop:weed: was thinking bout using it in the tub as it says hydro is fine on the bottle, but its a dark liquid typical of organics and im a bit dubious... wat u gt going in ya soil at the mo???

Right now I've got Fucking Incedible (which isn't) from VISC. I grew them in hydro already and now finishing up the soil batch. Hermie's everywhere and an overall mediocre strain, but I'm looking forward to growing White Russian on the next go around. Not as exotic, not as exciting, but I need some production after the last two rounds with this worthless strain.

white russian excites me mate!! :) lush smoke and big plants, jus cos its old school its still one the best,,, also i like the older strains as they are more stable, like u say wit the f incredible hermies an that.. gd luck with keep us updated.. can i ask u while im typing, is this the right stuff for the res to combat any nasties (algae etc)http://www.amazon.co.uk/Food-Grade-Hydrogen-Peroxide-Peroxygen/dp/B001XM8WEA/ref=pd_cp_d_1
I have always used hygrozyme and had great results. Never any funk in my reservoir and I'm not the expert on h2o2 or which products work best. I would think that's the right stuff, but a specific thread asking about the products would probably be more beneficial to you.

~GL and enjoy that DWC, it sure if fun to watch them grow so fast.

Penny's spent but dollars saved. That's the way this game is played. Cheapin' out always seems to lead to trouble. Good consistent yields and healthy crops require that you address issues and be prepared. Alot of times that means spending some penny's.

I was thinking of going hydro, DWC in particular. I grow in soil. The advantages in hydro production, if PLANNED as well as a good soil op, should be tremendous. But the cost is too. See the problem?:wall:
And for the life of me i can't figure out why you anglo's use a dogs nut sack as a reference to something cool. I spent a lot of time around dogs, seen a few doggie nut sacks, and I gotta say; aint a one of em looks like anything I'd want to name somethiing after. JM2C

high tide its cos some dogs bollox are fucking huge mate, an having big balls is a gd thing lol

dan i will put some pics up as soon as ifind my phone lead, gone walkies somehow..... u can get dwc ready set up for 25 quid mate air pump net pot the lot, then u never need buy mediums again so theres a big saving ,,, also when u harvest u can simply put fresh water in and off u go again,, alternatively i bought a 85 litre res from local hardware store 6 quid air pumps 30 quid new batch of htdro nutes 30 quid and thats a 6 plant tub.. reusuable as well its not that expensive to set up, and the results are excellent growth, makes veg a delight as well as flower.. and after initial set up all u will need is nutes evry so often, go on give it a go, growell hydro do the 1 pot systems i have known people to get 11 oz of 1 plant in these systems, with 6 week veg time,, now thats gotta b worth 25 quid out lay.. u wont believe the growth rates bud its unreal

Lol! Seen some cue balls on one. He sure was a happy old hound. :hump:

Well, I was kinda thinking of doing an ebb&flo tray lay out it rock wool as well. Run an assembly line under a single 1000w (hopefully I can swing an adjust-a-wing. You seen it? you put a fresh row of six clones on one end, displacing the finished 6 on the other. How is E&F compared to DWC for something like that?
