jack flash is nice, not the best producer but a nice hybrid high, sweet smoke too, my friend just cut one down and it is curing now.

here is a pic of that critical+ i was talking about, i love the purple colouring, all the other plants in the tent stayed green so i assume it is a genetics thing

i decided to throw out 4 of the cheese plants, they were being left for dead by the haze bushes and were going to produce very little. i put one in the garden to see if it will flower, either the dog will eat it or it will reveg but it was going in the bin anyway so i got nothing to lose.

i will post some more pics this weekend, getting really tasty in there now, i'm up to watering every 7 days now lol.

Fricking hell mate, just checked this one out via las thread, you've been surrounded by stupidly good grows! Subbed up late to the party haha.

haha, cheers mate, not bad fior a novice eh?.

watered the plants this morning, still haven't given them any pk 13/14 yet, i think the haze is deffo ready for it, going to let the cheese develop a bit more though, i think too much pk too soon has a bad effect on yield. next week i will give them the pk shot and hopefully the buds will start joining and forming colas.

i'm still finding the odd leaf with mites on, i have only found one moving adult mite since i sprayed the neem on the plants. all the other mites i have found seem to be babies that hatched and then died after eating the neem soaked leaf. does anybody know wether neem actually kills mites, or do they just not like the smell?. it seems to me that it does kill them when they eat it.

updates coming later.

Absolutely quality for a "novice" ! haha.

What week are you on with the haze/ cheeses? If they were planted the same time i'd have thought the cheese would be ready for the PK before the haze because of the shorter flowering period?

Lookin forward to the updates mate. Like las, pukka, don etc, we're always promised a good show :D

i know what you are saying about the cheese being a shorter flowerer than the haze and that it should recieve the pk first. the cheese plants were only small and the buds are developing a lot slower than the g-13, i think if i gave them a pk boost now they wouldn't like it too much, you'll see what i mean when i post the pics later. the hazes have been in the beds for over a month now, the roots are well established and the main stems are like tree trunks, i'm pretty confident i couple double the nutes i'm feeding them and it wouldn't hurt them, i currently feed them 1.2-1.6ec and ph of 5.5, i'm basically trying not to overcook the cheese as it is still quite delicate. this is just another example of poor planning on my part, i swear i will get properly organised one day.

i flipped them just over 2 weeks ago i think, i never write anything down tho lol, i just go off dates on here. as amatuer as i am the plants are my kids and i know how to look after them.

Ah right gotcha, the Hazes are more mature. My b, being hungover on a monday does these things to me. You can see in your last update the cheeses were a lot younger than the hazes. I know absolutely nothing about growing in beds. I'm assuming you just do one nute mix for the whole bed?

I used to do the same thing with my grow - just go off the dates on here, much easier than remembering!

i do one mix in a barrel and then get real vicious with my bucket, they all get the same feed but the bigger plants get more volume poured around their base, i think they steal water from the other plants in there too. i'm constantly trying new things all the time and seeing what works and what doesn't. i'm geting my practise in all right, still i've only ever grown in coco though and that is one thing i won't be changing soon.

nothing going yourself?

Yeh well they will drink it up a lot faster than the little uns and we know water always moves from an area of high concentration to an area of low concentration. Everyone that has used coco seems to say the same thing! Definitely a grand old product.

I've got two autos just sprouted yesterday and got an OG kush, trainwreck and mango seed to grow out, just I don't have the space to do em all at once unfortunately. My tent is only 80x80x160

Picture 013.jpgPicture 011.jpg poor quality pictures of the tent, the one un topped plant has grown past the cool tube, it grows towards the halide and uses the hps as side ligthing my favourite plant. not going to be the biggest yielder bu it like the way it looks

grow some kush, i would like to try that one day, i like the og#18 i can imagine the real kush to be niice

That is going to be a lovely field of bud mate, things look awesome in there. And that untopped plant is gunning for it isnt she haha.

Yeh I have never tried any OG and everyone across the pond seems to rant and rave so I figured why not. Meant to be really good for insomnia as well which is what I need. As soon as I saw this grow/ smoke log I was sold.

yeah terrible pics i agree, they don't do the plants any justice, i will get some real pics up some time this week.

hotphyre i would have to say that the blue cheese always smells nice and fruity as its growing, the more mature the plant gets the more earthier and dank smelling it becomes, got your filter sorted? lol. i'm sure you will be happy with what you got coming your way, just try and resist squeezing your buds from now til then!

Oh ya lol. i didnt squeeze like i was man handling this beauty i gave a nice soft love squeeze just to get the smell on the fingers.....haha

ya dude no filter at the moment but im not to worried i grow in a shed and if the lights arent on you cant smell it also when it is venting crazy i hooked it to a roof vent so it exhuast at about 10ft in the air. when im putside walking around i smell nothing my logic is it goes up and gone lol but that might change in week 9 lol im playing it by ear if i smell it enough to point to my shed than i will get one for sure

i have no filter at the min but i no longer vent to outside. i used to have a filter attached to my fan and then exhaust out of a vent in my roof, i come home one day about 8 weeks in flowering the whole street smelled of cheese, that was a scary week for sure.
