living off of fast food helps you to stay broke bro.... for about $5 you can have beans and rice and tea, (or koolaid/tang if you prefer) to last you the week.... fast food isnt really that economical anymore...

oh man i never spend 5 dollars a meal!!! only if i have extra spending cash. i use spare change i find and at most spend 2 bucks. just get a couple things and a water.

maybe being broke is just an excuse to eat it though. im a fiend! haha just kidding.

here you go.. a lb of beans, a bag of (healthy) rice... the beans will last one person about 4-5 nights of dinner... the rice even longer.... add $.35 for a pack of kool aid, (or free water).... and you have dinner for a week, for under $5..... say :finger:to the dollar menu:lol:

come on now... curried food twice in a row??? live a little bro;-)
Oh, I do. I change themes weekly. This week - curry dishes. Next week - cheap and delicious but filling noodle soups, starting with Pho, and probably ending with good ol' chicken noodle with either rice or barley added. I switch up all the time. :)

Yes, cooking is awesome. My first job was when I was 15, started as a busboy in a Chinese restaurant but very quickly learned from the chefs there how to cook and was made the secondary chef for the extra restaurant the owner tacked on to the other side of the Oriental market where everything was located. Awesome job, one of the best experiences of my life.

i totally agree man! you think about it... if someone buys fast food every night... that averages about 5 bucks so what like... $35, $40 a week. spend that at the grocery store on meats and you have meals for atleast 2 weeks or more.
plus after you eat fast food... you just hungry again shortly after!

Without fail, I will have Lobster Newburg or Thermidor at least once a week. Extra garlic makes it sing...

oh man that looks so rich! im a total sucker or lobster or crab legs.
i want some now!!!

Yes, I make sure I do some activity the next day when I knock that stuff down, otherwise I'd be at Walmart buying Spandex after awhile.

MMMM rack of lamb. I buy them at sam's club from time to time. Just make sure they are pink in the middle, don't overcook. Sometimes I will smoke them on my Green Egg (BBQ)....awesome!

I'm a big fan of some of the previously posted foods, barbecue ribs especially.

When I feel run-down or sick with a cold/congestion my roommates know that I'm cooking Indian food. I've made chicken mughlai, chicken tikka masala, kadhai paneer.
Chicken Mughlai

On a Bed of biryani rice

The most important thing I've learned is that when you're cooking with chili peppers, scratching your eye is NOT a good idea. Unless you like burning eyes. That wont stop watering. For hours.
