Okay...when transporting clones you need to package them properly. I am in no way telling anyone it is a good idea to ship clones but if you wanted to do it here is one way to get it done and keep the clones alive. btw...I am not using my plants for this tutorial...I am gonna use a plant from my yard...but it works the same way with a clipping from your plant. You are gonna need a small plastic bottle, a rubberband, some toiletpaper or paper towels, a sandwich baggie, and duct tape. first cut the bottom of the bottle off. then take your clipping and insert it into the bottle. once the cut is sticking through the mouth of the bottle wrap it with your paper whatever and soak it. next you will cover the paper with the sandwich baggie and use the rubberband to secure it to the neck of the bottle. then trim the excess bag....after you have done that use the duct tape to tape the baggie up and hold it in place. mist the cutting through the bottom hole that you cut so that there is some extra water rollin around in the bottle with the clone and use the duct tape to tape up the bottom hole that you cut. you can also put a plastic baggie around this end before taping if you want. place clone bottle in a box and you are ready to rock and roll....obviously when removed from the bottle the clone will need to be re cut underwater and then dealt with like any other clone.... do not bottle or take the cutting unless you are ready to send it out immediately. take a look at the pics and if you have any questions feel free to ask.

What makes this a terrible method? Do you have something better to contribute to the thread when it comes to long transport / shipping of clones?
I was actually wondering the same thing...usually unless I have a better way of doin something i keep my mouth shut...and if I do have a better way of doin something I offer constructive advice. I guess I am gonna have to use one of my clones for this...leave it in the bottle for a week then grow it to satisfy some people...but if that's what it takes then so be it....i shall return:mrgreen:

Awesome. I just had an idea, about a way to keep it moist, if you're worried about the paper towel drying out. How about using that water retaining polymer?

Now, if you EVER need to know how to ship live animals (fish, reptiles, corals, bugs), you just let me know. :D

that polymer may work well...i dunno...cause I dunno what it is..but you got the basics....just make sure it is sealed and there shouldnt be any problems with evaporation. it's science again....lol

Now, if only we can get the boy to clone-de-clone and get 'em to take, eh? Where do you think most cloning questions are on this forum? Advanced cultivation? (Search function gets funky and sometimes using Google isn't giving me what I want.)

I found all of my cloning answers in the growfaq...but as soon as I started doin it I realized that the faq is kinda shitty...if you have any questions look in the last few pages of my journal in my sig...i just posted a bunch of cloning info for hydro364 in there...any questions just ask

I've mailed clones in peat moss plugs in cigar tubes before... priority overnight from FedEx is awesome.

I've been told if you need to take them long distances all that is needed is your pop bottle and some water, fill the bottle and stick in you're clones. It's up the the guy on the other end to get em out tho'. This is not a tested theory by me but I have been told of trips from BC back to central canada where clones were taken this way.

This is interesting.. I might take some cutting from my up coming grow just to test how well our plant would do! either way nothing ventured nothing gained.
