Social Media is not Real Life

Not everyone has encounters that they can perceive..have you ever seen It's A Wonderful Life?

Sometimes it's the hand that stops time ever so slightly in order a child who's father distracted on cellular, is standing in a puddle, hand is opening the junction box, finger towards the socket..
It's a wonderful life was a movie based upon religious beliefs that I reject. But if you want to believe there are angels watching over us, I can't say you are wrong, just I don't believe the same thing.

Religion stultifies learning because it stops the question at "it's a miracle" or "because god" when deeper investigation eventually reveals a better understanding of the reality we live in. Or it reveals a sham or a lie or an attempt to get people to do something they would not normally do. Not just religion, false beliefs like racism and bigotry.

There may be an external reason why people experience deja vu or out of body visions, in which case, finding out what that is will open our minds to new possibilities. But to just say it's evidence of god or angels has no meaning or use to anybody.

Could you ask Bing how it chose to list? The answers are not alphabetical. Therefore, it's using data. From where?
It's using data from a trained model. That data is acquired from a variety of sources. Webcrawling, datasets, user input, etc...

I'm not going to make a long post. If you want to actually understand what AI/ML is and how it works then this link should give you a good idea of how ChatGPT actually works. If you read the entire article you'll have a better understanding of what's actually going on. People should take the time to actually learn about the technology instead of bashing something they don't understand.

I do love Canadians. We could totally become one country. Give MAGA Alberta. We already have the name AmerCan..we'll drop the 'i'.
You can have it. They wouldn't even notice any difference in the current style of gov't. United Conservative Party headed by a party appointed maga type, Danielle Smith, who now because oil prices shot up is buying votes as fast as she can dole out the cash.

And the f'n ijits here are likely to actually vote her in and then the other face will show itself for real.

Time to get back to BC, shut off the media and go fishing for the rest of my life.

Provincial election near the end of May the same time I hit 2 years sobriety. If she wins, I in no way, will make 3. :(

They've dramatically changed Googles algorithm. I noticed it a few months ago minimally. It's like content has disappeared- it's now a 'lite' version of what it was..actually it's been dumbed down for who?..the less than 100 would be my guess.

I bet they are starting to see the monster that has been made.

Sadly, the horse is out of the barn and you don't need Google to get to TikTok.
Try Startpage with Firefox. Cut off tracking and get decent search results. Edge, Bing, Cortana et all are all banished from my rig.

<new tab opened with lightening speed>Akashic dammit! Then I read the rest.

I will tell you there is this amazing feeling of happiness and wellness with mushrooms. I'm going to start microdosing when grown.

I'm also going for Ketamine therapy when I find the right place..I've had one interview so far.
Ketamine is my fave!!! The last trip was a ride on a spaceship that was flown by greys …..so cool!!! Haven’t did many hallucinogenics in a while other than a couple of grams of shrooms last summer and really wasn’t impressed :(. Getting a bit old for those shenanigans I guess lol.

You're never too old, you just need an 'adjustment' on the meds. Could have been the shrooms themselves. You always have to triangulate on everything now not just what you read.

'What a time to be alive' Xfinity commercial on 10G:lol:

I'm using an old Microsoft Kickstand from work and it won't let me download Firefox or anything reasonable. I have new Apple gear and have to re-learn Linux + it's not a tablet; I'm being lazy but will soon convert. I don't like what Google has done because of their idiocy we (with a brain) must pay for.

Information is being withheld and I don't like that. Keep your @gmail.com.

Are you aware of the significance of that little tune?

It's like a key
We had that tune down - almost like yodeling to aid in identifying ourselves and location - but unaware of it's significance. My two older brothers played the great white north part in the early 80s. Carefree and enjoyable times. We said "take off eh, you hoser" a lot.

He's holding a Labatt's Blue. They were excellent days and thank you for the story. I knew that call had significance in Canada but never knew why:hug:

Yes it is..just like Hodor:wink: So what is the significance? The call seems Native..but I bet it has to do with some great Canadian takedown of someone (the French?) in the woods by ambush with that call?

How about a link to try it?
Anyone can use ChatGPT. You have to create an account to access it though. As for the Bing Chat app I was mistaken that it had been made available to everyone. I thought it had already been made available to everyone. As of now you have to sign up to be put on a waitlist to gain access. I guess I got early access for being a member of the Windows Insider Program.

Here's the link to ChatGPT if you want to create an account and try it out. You don't have to download or install anything. Also it does not have real time data. The model was trained back in 2021 so any current events will not be available.

The sketch’s “Coo roo coo coo, coo coo coo coo” intro, according to Dave Thomas in an interview on CBC, is an exaggeration of the flute music used in 60-second Canadian television nature vignettes on Hinterland Who’s Who.

I still can't get it to sound/seem human. It feels like I am asking jeeves to wiki something.

It's a cool tool, but a long way from something to worry about. It's pretty good at summarizing info, but I haven't been able to gain any insights on what I ask beyond what I could get out reading a wiki about whatever topic.

I have seen some stuff that appears like you can get it (chatgpt) to assume a perspective, but so far no luck making it work.
