Sog vs Scrog

Hi ... I'm a fan of the sog for the reasons listed above but in your case I think a scrog is the way to go. 80x50 is a measure where you can safely put 3/4 plants in 11 liter pots. 15/20 days of vegetative where clones have time to make a nice root system and go into bloom in an extreme sog go immediately to flowering but you must have excellent clones and go with about 30 clones per square meter or more. I don't like this system I prefer to have a little less of plants (about 15 per square meter) make them come a little bigger prune them at the bottom of the second week of flowering (lollipop) In the end it's a matter of personal preference ... in your space (80x50 cm) I would go for 8 plants in 6.5 liter pots veg for 7/10 days ..... good luck..:)

well in sea of green you will get bigger main head buds, trim off the bottom small shots at the bottom, focus the energy all on the main stem/bud/cola.

Scrog takes longer, its more work , more veg time, requires more growing media and more light hours, potentially more yield but smaller bud sizes, with more variation in sizes and possibly lower quality , more popcorn/fluff etc.

In my opinion sea of green produces denser heavier buds of higher quality if done well, but less of them in general.

SOG is easier to trim.

SOG can have a better return for time and better quality product if done right.

ideally in my opinion you will want 2-3 weeks veg with sea of green to get a decent size root system and stem and to get past the transplant shock period in SOG, unless your clones are very healthy and strong, going into the tray, trim to single stem no branches.

you need a strain suited for Sea of Green

I suggest
