Soil Mix Looking For Opinions

This is one of the mix's I will be using this year. let me know If I left something out so I can Improve for next year. Thanks for advice and comments.
1.5 cu ft of patio plus
1/2 cup blood meal
1/2 cup bone meal
2 cups diatomaceous earth
1 cup greensand
2 cups dolomite
2ltrs sand
2ltrs perlite
1 cup bulb food 3-8-8 with Mycorrhizae and humic acids
10lbs worm castings
¼ cup of soluble kelp
½ cup Jamaican guano
½ cup Mexican guano

That's a lot of ingredients! What do you call that - "Lucky 13"?

I'm fairly new to mixing my own organics, so don't consider me to be an expert on the subject. With that being said, I'll be glad to give you my opinion. Kellogg's "Patio Plus" is fairly potent to begin with and you are adding quite a bit of nutrients! Perhaps a little too much, let's see what others have to say. I'm not saying you're making an unhealthy mix, but it might be a little "Hot" for younger plants (like FoxFarm Ocean Forest).

With all those ingredients you seem to be a little light in the "K" Dept. (Potassium), just my $.02 worth. But you're sure to get a full load of secondary nutes, trace elements and micro-organisms! Good luck!

Thanks that's a good name, I'm getting the K from the kelp that was added and what was already in the patio plus. The souluble kelp i added comes 1.0.16. I will only be putting mature plants in this mix with good root structure already. It may be a little hot going to let sit for a month. I will be turning it weekly. Thanks for the input I will let all know the results in a grow journal.

Still looking for more opinions on this mix.

I go with about 48% promix, 47% canna , and the other 3% worm castings and bat guano... and my last ladies loved it.... mixing up another batch on Friday...

Thanks for your suggesting a new mix but I'm looking for comments on the mix listed. Maybe I will try your mix next year again thanks.

Wow. Thats a lot of stuff. How long do you have to let it cure for before you can use it?

My favorite mix is
50% organic compost
25% worm castings (from the bottom of the compost pile)
15% coarse sand
10% perlite

It wont burn. You dont need to cure it, and the lower fan leaves wont yellow during flowering. Not only that but it helps to ward off pathogens and nasties that attack your plant. If you want to go organic.

o.k this just got a little less simple! my next mix was going to be pro-mix . is this to simple? small space, 4 t0 6 plants very most. 3 gal. pots only 4. can i use my top and bottom for both veg and flower at same time for 2nd grow?

Not sure what you are asking? Also top and bottom of what?

It will cure for a month or more . Then
I will only use half for the bottom of the pot or less. adding regular neutral soil to top of pot.

Come on all can I get a few more responses on this. They will all be appreciated and taken into consideration.

Just a few more come on folks

Okay opened up the containers today and had a nice amount of fungi growing on the soil so time to turn it. Still going to let it cook for three weeks more before I use it on a plant can't wait to see how it goes in the 7 gallon pot 1/3 then regular potting soil.

Fox farm ocean forest 1 bag, and 1 bag of fox farm happy frog worked out great for me

I have a question for the growers in the know. The mix is sitting in several rubbermaids they seem to stay moist on the lids. The soil is warm too touch . Do you think the soil is cooking enough I wont be using for a few weeks. Thanks for any suggestions
