Soil plant questions

I'm a first time grower. I bought some Diesel ryder seeds online and have planted them in Fox Farm's "happy frog" Soil. I have six seedlings so far, its been about a week and a half since germination. I have them all under a 150 HPS light. My question is when should i start to add the fox farm "Grow Big" nutrient? and how exactly should i test the ph of the soil afterward. i have a soil ph testing kit but im not quite sure what to test, the actual soil .... or just the run off water? Thanks for any comments :)

5-6 weeks and you should see them start to show signs of needing something more to eat. You can test the soil or run off me I do both just for the hell of it...:bigjoint:

look online for the feeding schedule for foxfarm nutes. the guy at my hydro store gave one to me.
150 watt is pushin it for getting nice buds from 6 plants...i mean thats saying they are all female with 3 you might be able to swing it but you might not get the results you are expecting
