Soil to DWC, plant shock! Need help!!

I just transplanted a plant from soil to a recirculating hydroponic system.
My plant is looking bad and as if it is overwatered. The bottom leaves are yellow and turning brown. It has been 3 days and feel like it has gotten worse more than better.

How long will the shock last?

Please help with suggestions on how to save my plant.

It is possible the water is not reaching the roots. I cut a solo cup and used it to divert the water towards the stem until the roots grew outward.

That makes sense, as I put the roots straight down and the water recirculating goes around the roots. Just thought it would be getting enough water but may not be.

By top feeding it, I wouldn’t over water it?
The only way to over-water hydro is by not oxygenating your solution. The root live in water 24/7
and I suspect that 'over-watering' really isn't correct in this situation...
