Soil VS Hydro flavor?

My first grow, Gelato 33 will be harvested in maybe 5 weeks.
DWC and doing very well.
I don't smoke............... haven't had a drag in 8 years and when I did, I could have bought Brick or Top shelf, Could not tell ya the difference...

Is there a difference in "Smoke" or flavor from soil VS hydro? and if so how can You describe it please?

I've noticed the biggest factor is what they're grown next. Terpene swap.

As for soil to hydro. I'm sure there's a difference but I don't have a wide range to test. Even then, whatever hints of flavor. Taste like the grow room.

I've actually thought about putting a fresh cut limb. Stem down in a flavoring. Like Vanilla or Dr Pepper or Dr Pepper with vanilla. Leave it overnight and then dry as usual.

Never done it.

That makes no sense at all, but it was funny! Anyhow... there is no real difference because plants convert whatever they are fed, salts / organics, into their own usable chemicals. Oh sure if you go feeding you plant things like food coloring and shit like that, some of it will end up in the plant in its raw form because the plant cannot possible convert inert matter that is riding in or on, convertible nutrients!

Your question doesn't make much sense. If you grow cannabis then you are ultimately the Quality/Assurance Control of your product your growing. And you say you don't even consume cannabis.?! Than why are you growing it? Oh Shiinapz, did I just get trolled like a lake trout? LOL?

No, you didn't get trolled,
I have friends that smoke but I haven't in quite some time, I say my next hit will be what I've grown, so I'm looking
forward to this.

I've homebrewed beer for 25+ years and worked in a brewery for a while too. I'll consider myself a slight beer aficionado.
Thought I'd try growing.

I see, well to answer your question. A true organic soil will have a better flavor and smell (terpene profile) than any hydro. IMO

I smoke a lot multiple times a day. I smoke mine which is organic soil my buddies hydro same cuttings mind you is far inferior in taste mine burns clean compared to his. So I’m my opinion yes there’s a big difference when you side by side. I can taste the difference between organic soil and nutrients also I don’t smoke cigarettes so my taste buds are pretty sensitive when it comes to smoke.

I grow the same strains outdoors (organic) as indoors (hydro all salt based sterile and no medium), and we do plenty of taste comparisons. Indoors seems slightly more "sweet," with the outdoor organic usually having a more "full" taste. I prefer the hydro, it's a "melt in your mouth" quality, and most of my buddies agree but some prefer the outdoor organic.

I love my hydro the buds are better. One thing I use a carbon filter attached to a bong so the taste is plain smooth....

I love hydro though way better than soil I'm on ebb flow tables.

Im blown away after different buds I'm getting from hydro jungle boys in Ebbflow vs soil ILGM seeds lol. Maybe its partly genetics
