soil with added nutes, or add your own nutes?

like the title asks, would it be better to use a soil such as ocean forest that has adequate nutes for a certain time? or to use a soil without nutes and just add your own? or would it be best to use soil such as ocean forest and add your own nutes as well?

well it depends on how much time you have to devote to our plants, if your around 24/7 then go with adding nutes....however if there are times you will be away and need somone with no experience to water and feed (as i did not so long ago) then your best off to add nutes to the soil or get a soil with nutes in it already, you can still add boosters too.
also with nuteless soil it is much easier to develop defficencys....so unless you have experience then go with the nutrient-soil..... the best way is to make a soil yourself, there are loads of recipies on this site, and they dont need nutes added to them

Ocean Forest, and then start adding nutrients when growth slows and the plant looks light green.
