Okay, I am just getting into really all the things make a "soil" a soil and all the things that a soiless does and does not compromise.

It seems to me that their is a whole lot of hype about soiless mixes and the almost hydroponic nature of the soiless and the need for hydro nutes.

It seems that what make soiless a soil is some sand and some organic ingreads like worm casts and or compost.

Also it seems that in many a recipe for a water only grow adding blood, bone, kelp, and other ingreds like guanos are really all that is needed to make a soiless mix a good soil for a "water only" grow. Forget the quotations on water only, most just say water only and I am not going to fuck it up with any "extras". I spilled some extras on some seedlings and I am now frantic at cutting some clones. lol, lol, lol.

So the basic makeup of blood, and bone, and kelp, also have some mineral compsitions and all the extras plus I add a little azomite and wormcasts and comsoted peices like happy frog soil amender.

The reason I say this is becasue for the price I am thinking that sunshine mix 1 and a happy frog soil conditioner for like 60 bucks shipped I can add my NPK ingreds and have a great water only grow. Plus I will add some extra rooters myco and spt to incoculate after a while in pots.

By the way I have a water only grow in soil going and the platns were riddled with probs including some bugs I finally got rid of in their one gallon pots and now transplanted into their seven gallons they are doing great. I am enjoying not having to fert them and they are growing in the in-betweens quite nice. Huge in fact and I am seeing plants I thought would die come back to life nicely.

As always the less attention additive no matter how many organic is the best approach. And make sure your RO filters are functioning. That was the culprit.

Anyway am I right as a soiless, If I amend it I dont need hydro chems>?

There is a lot of hype I am wondering around the whole soiless deal, and mj growing or is it all true and this plant that nmuch more difficult besides lights?

I am windering a lot as my veggers take off if I am ok at all as a person. This happens every time I get a snag in my grows. lol, jk!!!

i use sunshine mix along with foxfarms nutes for soil and im happy with the results. i treat it just like i would if using soil.

i have some clones in veg. for about 4 weeks or more and only fed them lightly twice.

thats great, when do you feed your clones? A few weeks after rooting? I am going to be in light warrior for clones, and I have never done that before. I did this in hydro and stil cant remember, lol.

Any advice, I dont want to screw this up.

that light warrior has some nutes already right?

i just give them like 1/4 strength of fox farms veg. nutes when they look hungry. like i say i have only fed them twice in 4 or 5 weeks after they were rooted.
so i gues it was maybe 2 weeks after rooting was my first feed.
if they dont look like they need it then hold off until they are stong plants.

I have since through months of reading gotten it all straight. Lol, I have even advance beyond my doubts of the whole earth plant

science and begun amending one gallon pots of peat to a half str of the recomended "super soil" and I am seeing awesome results.

Hydro like growth in soil. From there seven to ten gallons of heavily amended peat and a bag of compost. Like a quarter composted

steer manure and humus. :) I came across this post on the internet during a search and if I am famous I might as well conclude

the post.
