Some people say don’t flush at all some say do?

I didn't know MG made botanicare....i would assume they bought the company out. Monsanto....that's that Mexican Corp right?

Monsanto would try to sell round up no matter....it's a business thing. I'm not a MG basher.

Not flushing is wasting nutes and money.

Plant enters senescence and flushing doesnt matter.

Its been proven by a few studies.

Via Wikipedia....MG doesn't distribute or produce round up.

Edit- it says roundup is marketed by MG....whatever that entails.

The last sentence from the conclusion of the study you shared indicates that "reduced water use, consistent irrigation frequency measured through cVPD, and no flushing of the root zone are elements of a desirable irrigation management strategy for cannabis." (Emphasis added.)

to be fair the amount you would save is very little, again Im not here to discuss just here to read comments this shit gold every time people argue for so long

All im gonna say is if you are wasting gallons of water on your pots you gotta rethink life a little

tech i dont flush as to roll water out of the pot. i just use plain water the last two weeks, wether its a pot with pro mix or a dwc tub.

My 2 cents. . ...flushing is "proper etiquette", like chewing with your mouth closed or not wearing white on Labor Day. ..or is it after Labor Day, lol.

Point is, I think it's a respected practice, handed down to us by those who just simply know better. Because they've already done it.

OK so flushing is more like "respecting your elders" but whatever, I kinda do that too


I grow in 3gal fabric pots (might do 5gal) coco + perlite. I do a 5-day flush and one full day of dark + the last 12hr period, so 36hrs dark, I guess? Then chop. At very least, it helps bag appeal with a nice color fade if it hadn't happened on its own

It means that MG has exclusive rights to sell it.

If your buds were harsh, that's not because of flushing but from proper dry and cure. The last plant I harvested, some of it dried too quickly and cured for not longer than a week and the smoke was harsher, and some of it took more days to dry and I cured it for longer time and the smoker was smoother.

And it's not just my personal experience, it's something that a lot of experienced growers (not me), growers that have been growing weed for more than 10 years say.

Also people always say that outdoor weed is the best weed, and outdoor growers don't flush their backyard.

New growers shouldn't flush...or grow weed wtf...you shouldn't be growing weed until you've become an expert at this shit somehow!! Period...
I germinate in hcl.....keeps my seeds clean...I flush twice when I poop....

Well from experience, organics great tasting super smooth with no flush. Miracle grow with no flush YUCK!

I use puppy manure.....organic....my dog's a vegan it's chill....
