Sorry, Vegans: Brussels Sprouts Like to Live, Too.

Personally, I like to eat locally, humanely raised animals. There's a big difference nutrition-wise between meat from a cow that lived a decent' life wandering around in a field eating grass, and the meat from the lot grown, cramped, miserable, antibiotic and hormone filled cows. It's healthier for me and for them. Meat's not a part of my daily diet, so when I do eat it I don't mind paying extra.
i have to spread out the love before i can rep you again , you have one coming from me ,now as far as i'm concerned i do pay a little extra for no other reason i want a good cut ,that is tender and well marbled ...rob

I respect vegans. Definitely don't judge them.I actually tried for a couple weeks about ten years ago, but meat is addictive as crack.
I am very opposed to corporate practice towards meat production.
i started raising my own, easy since I knew people that did it already.
I raise my own pork, chicken and rabbits. I love my animals.
I killed my first animal more than 20 years ago.
I still feel guilt when i take the life of an animal, except roosters, they are assholes.

but I rest easier knowing the meat in my deep freeze came from an animal that lived a good happy life. Not raised in tight spaces with growth hormones and mistreated.

i don't eat a massive amouint of meat, but i like it none the less, and do require it here and there b necessity, like bacon sandwhiches :) and as such i can't comprehend not eating meat in my diet.

but that is not to say i can't respect them (vegans more than veggies, how the hell is fish vegie friendly :P although this is still generalising a bit :P) and what they chose to eat. it is their choice and i don't bash them about it.

yet in the same way, i can't stand the idea of things like faggots, that is a simply minging concept coming whack bang in the center of being a carnivor, yet i won't turn around and tell someone who enjoys faggots that they're some kind of twisted creep. it's their call at the end of the day.

and JO, can't agree more on the copy and paste, i noramlly jsut skip threads like that, as they're genearlly thousands of words long and tedious :P

but meaties vs not, it's a good debate to be had :)

There are several levels of vegetarians.

In descending order:
1) Pesco Vegetarians, but I don't consider them legit. Sea vegetables - my hairy ass!
2) Ovo-lacto Vegetarians - the largest population of vegetarians eat eggs and dairy products.
3) Lacto Vegetarians eat dairy products because they can't give up cheese.
4) Strict Vegetarians (Vegan) eat no animal products whatsoever.
5) Fruitarian (Vegan).

haha, not to worry, that's why i chose plonker over a more seriously acusational "twat" :D, i was aware it was a bit of a regional "delicacy" (fuck that they're mingin!) and the offal used to make them, well sometimes it's a nice mixture (i say nice) and other times, well from first hand experience, any thing and everything at hand :S not nice, and the smell while you're making them up, GAHHH!

do you get propper faggots in texas or by meatball do you mean genuine meatball as in spaghetttttttttttttinomnomnomnomnomnomn

I read somewhere that its believed that early species of cannabis used the intoxication as a defense mechanism against predators....instead of the way it is now, there was like an ooze with thc and other cannabinoids that would get sprayed on whatever predators were trying to eat them, and the wonderful high feeling would distract them. Only problem with that is, soon the predators would get the munchies :weed:

I dont really think it's true, but you never know.

Nice cut and paste.

But what is the point? This is not new information.

Why do some meat-eaters get sore pussies when they think about my diet?

The fact is that we all must eat to survive. This means that living things must die. My threshold is at a different level because I choose not to consume animal products.

Q: How does my diet threaten you in the least?

A: It doesn't.

Hey thanks! It was pure skill.

I don't understand what you mean by meat-eaters getting their pussy sore.. Only pussy sore is my gfs from last night:hump:

I hope this thread didn't upset you pal, you keep talking about people feeling threatened...
I just thought it was cool about the chemical defense that plants have and that's why i posted it.

I left it with its original topic to see RIU's opinions on the difference between the two.(eating meat and not eating it)

Look forward to your hate filled response ;)

I speak of self-conscious meat-eaters who feel threatened by my diet.

I can't speak for the hate as you seem to have that covered.

You started the thread after all, remember?

But at least all my posts have been original. ;)

K well this will be the last time I respond to you, because I know the "ego" can cause a troll to go forever, and I want to get back on topic.
It seems like you didn't even read the bottom half of my reply before posting back..(besides the hate part)

Anyway though, if you had read the ending of the quote I had copied(in OP).
It says he wanted to know what's the difference between consuming meat and plants, and that's what i want to know also(what's the benefits).

I truly am sorry that this had offended you so badly that you had to negative rep me over something so trivial as vegetables haha..
Owell I never meant it like that and it's just the internet i suppose, don't take it to heart :dunce:

p.s. Can you point out my hate? My guess is, you read my writing with your ego, because I had never meant for you to interpret it like that.(with hate)

Either way, happy growing! :)

You said you looked forward to my hate filled response, which I thought was ironic since you started a vegetarian-bashing thread. That statement was why you were neg-repped. Nobody else responding here was neg-repped. :)

You opened the door by starting this thread. :dunce:

Anybody who has been a member here more than a couple of days knows that if you start shooting off your bazoo about vegetarians, you better be prepared to deal with Johnnyorganic. Yes, I take it seriously.

By the way, it is completely hilarious the way you are complaining about how this has unfolded. You are touching on all the key words like 'hate' and 'troll.' My responses have been on-topic. How is that trolling?

Now that this thread has completely backfired, you want to forget all about it by refusing to engage me. I don't blame you.
But you better put me on ignore because I am not going anywhere. :fire:

Hey Johnny O , I have a couple questions if you don't mind.

have you always been a vegetarian?

If not, how hard was the transition?

Ive dated 2 vegetarians. they had the nicest, smoothest skin. Is this coincidence?

and somebody brought up PETA.
I wonder are they paid for by meat producers org to make the animal rights movement look silly?
