Ledil is pretty much only going to work with companies they choose and their normal distributors. I have been emailing with them...but as a company, so I got a response...but am truly in need of 188 more reflectors(on top of my 52 I have), and maybe more after that...so might as well be a business.

I'm sure you guys have just realized the size of the builds coming up...so I should have a good stock of these 90* 3070 reflectors in the short future...and if I have spares(only come in 52 at a time) when I'm done I will let all the regulars around here know for sure.

And coco, you will be going..."that was it?...lets build some more!!!"

The ledil clamp can be usedstand alone instead of the ideal holder...you just need to solder,b ut they have the reflector adapters on them...so well worth solder vs drilling and tapping 2 more(4 total) holes for the ideal+clamp.

@Positivity ...like custom through ledil...or straight up custom?

@Greengenes707

Ledil actually hooked me up with tina 2 reflectors when they weren't in stock. They directed me towards distributors this time around though. Thats cool...too bad stocks are near zero for average joes.

So..necessity is the mother of invention, something like that. Asked a few places to make something and one agreed. I'll update in the reflector thread if it pans out.

the ledil clamp and 90* is sick..i have no doubt that will be a badass light.

@Greengenes707 how would you go about mounting the cob with just the adapter? The same as paste and tape except substituting the adapter for tape?
My bad, they are actually two different things. There is an adapter for using ideal connectors (http://www.idealindustries.ca/products/prodSelect.php?prodId=CHIP-LOC-REFRACTOR&div=7&l1=led_holders&l1b=refractor) and is made by ideal, licensed from ledil. Then there is the clamp(http://www.ledil.com/node/2/p/11634)...that clamps it down, made by ledil, and is a holder with reflector tabs, but needs connections soldered prior to instal. Look at the drawing in the product PDF of the clamp...the backside you can see how it is a square where the cxa goes.

Anybody know a well made soldering iron? I need one just in case and not sure about what brand or wattage is preferred

Some like the more affordable ones..

But.. The Weller with separate power supply makes soldering on a heatsink much easier. Gets hotter.. Adjustable heat.. And stays hot. About $80 I think. Probably only worth it if you anticipate a lot of soldering

Main features I like in any iron is separate power supply and a pen tip..

ahhhhh ok thanks Pos, was just looking at a weller on amazon, various prices but 40 for an adjustable one like you speak of which seems to be mid level in the reviews
