Spider mites, can they be gotten rid of?

I wonder how bad it is to smoke mites, I mean I'm sure we've all unknowningly done it before, and we are all still alive. Protein?

they pop really loud.. cant really taste em and all they eat is plants.. so at worst you may be smoking a little spider shit

I used a chemical to get rid of my mites and burnt my leaves as well. A mild thing to follow up with and a thing that worked well for me was spraying well under all upper leaves (I trim useless lower branches/leaves off and out of way) every couple days with a spray bottle containing water, a splash of lemon juice, and a few drops of dish liquid.
