Spider Mites

The time has cometh again the dreaded mites have cropped up, in the last 2 weeks my gardens have suffered terrible neglect. as a result they are having alot of different problems,

i really want to torch the place as i have fought to supress these many times before, the mites are 2 different kinds !!!!

i have the 2 spotted spidermite and the RED, as a comunity do you think i should make a resource secton and battle them. before i comit to this i wanted to see if its really a problem for others. i have a pretty new infestation but very wide spead.no webbing

You can slow their activity by elevating the humidity. This will slow the plant's growth and general health, but will help to eliminate the problem. It will make the environment "uncomfortable" for the mites and they'll want to leave.

Quick question - what were your temps and RH% before you noticed the infestation? There might be a correlation there. Too hot/dry makes perfect breeding grounds for the mites.

i am sure both, it this point its pretty serious, its not to worry though, the reason i asked if others wanted to see is because i really can kill all of these, i have a new enviroment coming online, i am low on meds and will be a long wait till i go from seed at the big dig. so fighting them is costly and the plants suffer yeilds are less and its alot of extra work. downfall i have not spent cash on meds in years its hard to imagine doing it again

I just lost every thing in my house to the little F*CKERS this week .
Killed it all my self before they could. Luckily I was just VEGGING mothers I hate to loose bud. I had a war last year with them at about this time. This year I am surrendering I killed the plants and cleaned the place with insecticide. I will give it one more treatment with bug killer then rebiuld.

night time 62-66 day time usually peaks @ 73-75 its not real favorable for the mite. but i dont have just 3 or 4 plants. i keep the room dry @ 44-55% RH.

i am not asking for help, i know what they like and how to kill them i was asking if members have this problem alot, would they like me to make a thread on the spidermite battle

Does any one know the life cycle of a mite? How long they live???

depends on the type of mite and the temp the hotter it get the fast they reproduce

man, you should just start clean. fuck that "keep 'em managable" shit. eradication should be your only choice. if you've got no webs, you will, and soon. there are a couple of sections in the growfaq about spider mites. that won't stop every noob from asking countless questions though. save your op, then worry about helping others.
