spread between plants in hdyro setup

Im about to start a grow with (1)afghan kush special and (1)blue widow in a hydro setup. Im second guessing the size of the tub i have. The tub istelf is good size but the usable space on the lid is only about 12x6. Should i get a flat lid or just get two smaller tubs so that i will have enough space between them?

Should be able to fit 6 on a tote, no more. They don't need to be that far a part

If you want to keep them close you will have to trim some of the branches to keep them more single cola. I have found that if you have more than one plant in a tub, one of the plants will also be bigger than the other. Not sure why but it seems ones root mass just starts to get massive and drink more nutes and leaving less for the other plant.

screw trimming if you're using an MH/HPS the light will penetrate anyway. The plant will remove the leafs it doesn't need any more by it's self

My ex's ex used to grow in one of thoes under the bed totes, they're like 4 feet long great for a closet and you can fit like 12+ plants in it
