Sprouting seeds on 12/12 for breeding?

Is anyone here doing this? start seeds on 12/12 for quicker breeding purposes like pollin collecting or pollinating for seeds.

Any thoughts on this?

A plant won't start flowering until it's mature.
You might as well give it as much light as you can for the first few weeks for faster growth.

How about taking clones ?

Veg it out as mentioned above then start taking cuttings.

I remember when I did this thinking it would save me a bunch of time and make a smaller plant for flowering so I could run several smaller girls.. I thought I was really on to something..

It took longer for the 12/12 from seed to go into flower then the plants I vegged 18/6 and then flowered..
