Stainless steel hose clamp in res

If you were permanently installing it, they make titanium clamps that are virtually corrosion proof. There's a reason they don't use SS to make the coils inside chillers. SS is fine though IMO. Careful because some clamps only use stainless for the band section, not the actual screw/hardware.. the cheaper ones anyway. Many people use SS mesh screens in their y-filters\strainers, or sometimes even wort chiller coils to act like heat exchangers in the res. It's higher grade than most the clamps though. Saltwater will pretty much corrode anything with enough time. Could take years and years and years.

I would love to have a complete food grade stainless hydro system. If I was a king, I'd have a platinum/titanium RDWC setup. With gold plated net pots,.

Yea I've decided to use a 316 ss clamp. Now I'm trying to figure out how to mount the water pump in the res with something other than the shitty suction cups.

took the cups off...more of a pita than helpful in my res.
I pump up thru the lid so its held in place by the plastic tubing/pipe.
sits on the bottom of the res nicely:cool:
