Starfire and Wolfpack both seem to be faceless breeders. Curious if they are actually seedbanks getting in on the seed game for themselves... Im amazed how many seeds sold based off the hype cut reversal and not one picture of any of the plants ever grown.
I read some comments on IG that Treestars is behind Starfire so that's why they push it pretty hard. I think I saw it on Neptune's page when they decided to drop compound over some drama

It doesn’t look like the Wolfpack packs are selling

a couple of banks had them 35% off and none of the crosses sold out

but for some strange reason the Starfire packs are selling even though you got breeders likes Clearwater putting out A&B crosses for $80-$100

its crazy that people are paying $250 a pack from some new mystery breeder nobody has heard of before

I won’t even spend that much on a pack from my favorite breeders

Imo their market share is mostly newbs and hype chasers that don't know any better. No reason to shop with banks like treestars when you can get almost everything they have cheaper somewhere else. I was just curious because they seemed to pop up from nowhere with that apples and bananas drop

When that drop hit, IG was all starfire apples & bananas from every direction--except from growers. I don't pay close attention to hype pollen chuckers, but usually there's someone popping up on my IG growing stuff like that before a drop hits at that many unrelated seed banks. Not this time, though.

If I had to guess, I'd guess it's the first foray by some corporate cannabis company trying to break into the seed selling market. And based on the comments on one of their IG posts, I feel like that's a pretty good guess.

They're not followed by many other breeders either which raises an eyebrow for me lol

I’ll pop a banana splits and see if one bean is any good. I got them for free from treestars after their BS on a thug pug drop.

On the opposite side of the spectrum ... I just saw the new drop by FANG ( now solo after GGG drama ) and my jaw dropped when I saw the Diamond Fruit price tag .... 2K ! for 10 reg. seeds.

Anyone out here paying that ?
Plus there's a disclaimer that says they shouldn't be germinated for several months after purchase since they're "still alive and very fresh" or some such BS. So now you have to properly dry your $2k seeds yourself before trying to germinate them. I just saw yesterday he has another drop coming this week already. Anyone else feel like he's selling chucking experiments faster than he can get them off the plant...for premium coin?

It doesn't take long at all to properly dry or cure some seeds before packaging. Sounds like an out/excuse for them to not have to replace seeds after bad germ rates. It was expensive but still justifiable when the GGG packs were a couple hundred but now since he is just FANG lol... he has added a zero the the price. Maybe he's trying to cover some GGG court costs.. or maybe he thinks people will pay 2K because they think he is cool.. :blsmoke:

The GGG stuff has been covered in other threads before, and I'm pretty sure my thoughts are already on record for those. I'll bow out of this discussion to allow it to get back to Starfire...in case anyone may have something positive to say about them.

Starfire is treestars, probably working in collaboration with Compound. I mean its confirmed that treestars is starfire, and compound just gave treestars the exclusive AnB drop, so idk why compound would do that unless they were working together to some degree... plus all the compound/starfire crosses are different, they arent pollinating the same cuts, almost like they spoke about it before hand and cleared what could be released and what couldn't... I wouldnt buy any starfire gear myself, I've hopped on plenty hype trains in my day, but this ain't it imo

I've looked into these guys recently since a buddy of mind wanted to trade some seeds out of a pack he got in December. I think you're right about them being Treestars, but honestly anyone can get an A&B cut if they spend the $$. Starfire was a smart business move on someone's part-there is no actual breeding or selection going on when you are just reverse "elite" clones and smash them together with other "elite" clones. Anyone who can keep a crop healthy through flower can sell $200 packs if they have the capital to start a business and buy/acquire legit cuts.
