Start seedlings under CFL's or LED at 1/2 power?

Hey y'all. I'm not sure if I should start a seedling under my HLG 135 3000k at half power or if I should run out and buy a few CFL's. I'll probably start out with two seedlings and choose whatever one looks healthier. Just growing one photoperiod indica plant in soil for personal medical use. I have a 2x2x4 so I want to to do whatever I can keep it short with training. Is it worth buying the CFL's or will my current light give me the same results? Thanks in advance!

Running out and buying stuff these days isn't as simple as it was about 6 weeks ago.

You can start seedlings under your HLG light. You could leave it at full power and hang the light 36" - 40" above the seedlings. Once the shell pops open and the serrated leaves show normal growth, you can gradually lower the light an inch or so every day. I think the HLG 135 unit can hang 20" - 24" above the plants during veg.

Awesome I will take your advice. I was under the impression that i might burn the seedlings at full power but that's probably with a much more powerful LED than mine. Thank you.

I started my last run under my spider farmer 4000 dialed way down and had no problems. Kept light about 3-4 feet above them. They don’t need much in the beginning
