Start up costs

hey RIU how’s it going? Big question for the burning desire of a good friend. What would be the estimated start up costs of a outdoor grow op out in Spain.. looking to supply the private clubs in some possible locations, near French border, Barcelona, Mallorca, marbella. Preferably out in the woods or up in the mountains. This includes everything, moving expenses, living, etc. I know it’s kind of vague but i just want to hear your responses, thanks!!

I don't think many people here will know how much it costs to live in spain....
And even the costs of having a grow will differ greatly from grower to grower.

Some people sink some major money into their grows... others like me roughly spend 20$ a pound to grow.

Have you grown before? How many plants do you plan on having ?

I sent a message off to build-a-soil for a quote, waiting on their response. Gonna go as aorganic as possible and focus on building up soil- not growing plants. So this will mostly involve (what I see in my head atm) buying soil amendments and preparing the native soil already at the site that I find right, that, a layer of mulch/ living mulch (cover crop) some recharge and mammoth P, and try to start a vermicompost and bokashi bin for some worm poop and compost and I think that’s it... need to do somethin about water too, maybe a pump, hose, and car battery linked to a nearby stream? As far as how many... tryna go heavy weight. Like a mini forest lol, social clubs in Spain are permitted to supply up to a hundred kilos a year to their members I believe So I want to make this a career. Canada just legalized, US is on the brink, Spain has been one of the most liberal European countries in recent years, Germany and Switzerland are opening up, in my mid twenties and my job gets me around places to see the world which is great but it’s light on the pocket- time to hunker down and get in the gold rush and yea I had a small indoor setup that I sunk like 1500$ into and some autos on the balcony

Check out my grow, organic as well.

If you are able to to stay away form bottled nutrient you could do this for fairly cheap, outdoors.

I bought everything for my grow this year for about $800. I would say you would probably spend around $1000-1200.

The key is the soil blend I use...and lots and lots of bacteria and fungus added ;)

Thanks so much. I'm sure you will do great
Ok thanks for the info! What kind of soil blend do you use, and where do you get the bennies from? I was thinking recharge and mammoth P and maybe taking a stab at growing my own :) thanks for the kind words I’m tryna grow some grade A petrol fuel :) and a lot of it

The seeds I get from different places...not every company has exactly what I am looking for. Tho...attitude seed bank and Greenpoint seeds will be my next shops.

My soil is pretty basic .. I amend 5 yr old cow manure with espoma garden tone (organic and inoculated with fungus and bacteria)
Happy frog bulb food (also inoculated)

After that it's just home made teas ..

The two products listed for nutes have everything from gypsum to green sand to kelp to guano... All pre blended and easy to use without all the guess work. The plants just explode.....

Thank you for the sage insight so espoma garden tone and happy frog bulb food is your secret to tree trunks huuuh? You got picks of buds after harvest? Do they come out dense? I remember the grows I did under the cob light they came out a bit fluffy, bag appeal was there, but the high was kinda short lived, just didn’t quite have that mortal kombat kick and I was using biobizz nutes

No, I was just being a smart arse. Spain is beautiful though, Barcelona would have to be in my top 5 cities of the world. Spain and Portugal have always been "well priced" compared to France.
Ohhh ok I gotcha lol nah cause i Was out there before, expensive as hell, the people are meh too lol but yea Spain is def like a perfect storm for growing out doors, all that sunshine and warm dry Mediterranean climate , I think Valencia has the same latitude as emerald triangle too. So some big potential out there, can’t forget the paella either

No...The fact I use only manure and not dirt is the magic. But the nutes really help.
Here is 2 pics of my buds...dense as could be ...no fluff
