starting a new bigger grow and could do with a little advice

i havent been growing for the last year or so, but just got back from jamaica and it enspired me to start up again, .

i have 2 rooms concrete outhouses,

and have 13 white widow clones

and 6 seeds unsexed from jamicia which i took from some plants which were in seed,
when we went to see bob marleys grave,in jamaica they had a small plantation growing and took some seeds.
strain jiggy jiggy and white russian and ak47.

all 19 plants are vegging at the moment

clones 1 week old
and seeds are 3 week from seeds.

i am growing in soil
john immes soil with 1/4 perliteand under 5 flos at the moment all plants are growing by the day and seem to be doing fine.

i have never had any probs vegging its when i goto 12/12

so i will be flowering 4 plants into 12/12 every 2 weeks. staarting tommorow.
my temps are 78c and i have fans blowing on the plants.

im planning to vegg for 4 weeks, about a foot high and for the other i will just topp to keep size down TILL ITS THERE TURN TO GOTO 12/12.
i hoping to flower 4 shortish plants every 2 weeks so after 8 weeks i should have 16 plants all 2 weeks apart and so on, so i get a 4 plant harvest every 2 weeks hopfully.

what i want to know is are 250hps and 400 watts hps for 12/12 anygood ????
also
i have a 600hps ballast too but no bulb , should i get another bulb

will i need to get one???

and which food will be best.???

i have biobloom for 12/12

and pk13/14 for after 5 weeks 12/12,

should i get better lights and food
like i said i have 5 flos for veggand 250 400 hps lights and ballasts for 12/12 and 600 hps ballast but no bulb,


any advice on helping me getting started, as im not playing this grow!!1 i want to do things right, now i have the room to do it right.

Well for starters you said your temps are 78c? That's about a 170 F degrees. You'd be fine with the lights you have. I run a 600 for flowering and I love it. Took the place of 2 400 HPS. Ventilation is very important. What problems do you run into during flowering?



As for nutes, everybody has there own kinds they prefer. I myself like Fox Farm. You could do good with any kind used correctly. My advice is keep it simple, don't get sucked in to all the nute "HYPE".

Lol, i figured. That's about 75 F. Perect temp in my book.

Do you have alot of place in your room?

Because if you plan to make a rotation every 2 weeks, id get a 400w mh (to do the veg) and 1-2x 600w hps for the flowering.


Also;

id get grow big for your veg

should i start 12/12 on 250hps then after 2 weeks use the 400hps and for the rest of 12/12 use a 600.

how many plants can you get under a

plants will be vegged under flos for 4 weeks or 1 foot high and plants will be topped.

yes i have a 2 meter squared room for vegg
and
a 4 meter by 2 meter squared and 8 foot high room for 12/12

Well I can fit 30 plants under my 600 is I really stuff them in there. I usally do about 20 something in 1 gallon bags. I have used my 600 HPS to grow from seed. I like it better to veg than my 400 MH. My flowering space in 2.5 wide 5 ft long and about 6 ft high. I have my 600 on a mover to even out the lighting.

The lighting that you are useing will be fine.Have the 400/250 on the go at the same time you would be able to flower more plants than you are under that ammount of lighting.I would put 6 plants in the 12/12off room and get the rest of the stuff that you need for the 600 hps set up and you could be growing some serious weights.Not sure where you are from in the world but it should not cost that much for a hood and a bulb for the light.I would watch the i grow cronic dvd and instead of growing hydro get the plants in soil whitch you have done.But make two room the same size has his vegging room and bang the 600hps in there i grow under a 600 hps and always have a min of 8 ounce every 8 week dry weight not wet.Put 4 plants under the 600 watt hps you could even squeeze another 2 at a push.Then all you need is a small cuboard that will fit 3 3ft flouresents daylight spec.Get 2 cool and 1 warm this will allow you to have the lights right over the top of the plants and the extra warmth from the warm daylight spec will give the plants the little heat needed.Cover the walls in mylar in the room with the flouresents in and clone just before you flower.You have everything that you need for a great grow my green fingered friend so do it but don't tell a sole about your plans.If you have had trouble before with flowering then do has i do i always have nice yeilds and my plants stay green till the end.First thing that you need todo is pick whitch nutrients you wanna use go for vitalink a and b veg same for flowering but add buddy at the start of the 2 nd week when you top the plants.Advanced nutetrients is also a good nute has is sensi pro.Make sure that the rooms are light tight with good air cicleation from a ossalateing fan.You will also need a couple of exaust fans for each room same has the ossalating but the money will be got back after the first grow.Watch the greenhouse clips of each grow on you tube i grow has they do 5.5/6.0 ph flowering and veg also flush once a week this will get rid of any salt build ups that the plants produce.Once i have flushed the plants i leave them in the bath while i make a new batch of nutrients up and then i add this leave in the bath for about another 2 hours to get rid of most of the run off.Then bang them back into the grow room and don't give them no more feed till the following week same day.Some will say won't all that water cause problems i promise it won't been doing it for time now and the plants and yeild have got alot better.The plants are still lush right up till them comeing down.Good luck be lucky.

i have hood and ballast for 600, but wife broke the bulb when cleaning my garage out.
so ill get another asap. but use the 250 and the 400 for now.

did you mean you vegg and flower with 2 diff 600 hps i didnt get that bit of what you said.
and how big do you vegg your plants b4 12/12?
